Message from Godin: I've been waiting for this for a long time. So, how do I view 1.7?
PROS:
1: Vehicle AV balance is (almost) Perfect. GG
2:I adore the Rail Rifle. Haven't tried the Combat Rifle (not enough SP due to vehicles lol), but both look and sound incredibly good.
3: Whatever you guys did, the Shotty and Scout feels like Cromosome again. Nice work
4: The new damage visuals, as well as the hardener visuals look really cool. I love them
CONS:
1: Hit detection still seems iffy on the blasters (haven't tried the other two turrets due to SP, but from what I've seen and heard, they don't have any issues).
2: base speed for HAV's and LAv's seem too fast imo. Maybe a 5 M/S reduction for HAV's, and a 2.5 M?S for LAV's.
3: Lag spikes inside of cities happen sometimes. Not that bad, but it's there.
THINGS THAT RUINS 1.7 FOR ME:
1: the turrets don't have the "specialist" style of the weapons (I don't know about modules, as I didn't look)
2: The Federation Maddy, although cool that it's a AI-102, it still has the small turrets on, so the fit is ruined.

As far as tanks, the new strategy is to carry equipment that does burst damage - Fluxes for example - to get the tanker to hit all of the mods, then catch him when the hardeners are down. I do agree that tanks move way too fast now, though. The plasma cannon (which does 1500 base, not counting shield bonuses) would *never* be able to hit a moving tank at this rate.

So because it has a hardener active you think it shouldnt be able to die? and the fact that the hardener gives 60% resist to all damage AND they can get almost all of their shields back from the booster they have. I do however understand that tanks needed a buff and swarms were OP but the fact of the matter is they can take a load of damage and barely get hurt and if the tank does manage to die they can just call in another one cos they are a lot cheaper. This isnt balance its silly.
