I'm not really a big supporter of either teamkilling or protostomping, but I have to say that in the latter case it's probably contributing to the decline of the game. Why? it can be summed up in one sentence - awful new player experience.
Yes you guys invested your time and your sp and deserve your proto gear, but if it's making people leave the game it is on the whole *awful* for the community. I really wish there was a way to split queues so that people with basic / adv'd gear would be tossed against like and people with proto gear would be tossed against like - other fittings would be invalid for the respective matches. Maybe call them 'elite' public/faction warfare contracts with slightly higher payouts or something.
Planetary conquest would remain the same, because that's where your SP advantage should really shine.
This probably isn't the best idea nor do I expect it to gain any real traction at all, but I think it might do something to fix the problem of 'proto-stomps'. |

the whole ima grief you for using proto in pubs while your using proto in FW is a contradiction and a sabatoge of their own efforts.
so its basically just a smokescreen, a way to justify their greefing becuase lets be honest, those who are coming up with this would grief anyways and it has NOTHING to do with protos.

a very small group of people activly participate in PC, and a much larger group have acess to proto, math should tell you that there will be people who have no acess to PC, in addition to people who want to play more then 1-4 games in a particular day.
not to mention testing PC fits and strats outside of PC.
theres MANY valid reasons to run proto outside of PC.
now stop with the pretence, its OK if you want to grief people, just stop pretending its for some reason other then you feel like griefing people.

I don't understand the griefing, but Proto in Hi-Sec is wrong. Keep it in Lo-Sec, that is, PC and FW.

You don't play EVE, do you?
In EVE, there is this thing in Hi-Sec called CONCORD, killed you if you attacked people. (Unless it was a legal war.) We don't have that, as Public matches are Hi-Sec. So, I propose CONCORD making proto in Pubs illegal. You can't use it. Period.
