The only changes to shotguns i think need to be made is a slight range buff. Triple damage would not only be insanely op but also make the breach worthless, why use the breach when lolheavys get ohk by a militia shotgun? |

Just wondering do you use a shotgun actively? If you don't, change your tampon cause you have no point to make here. If you do the shotgun has been wonky since uprising. It works for some one day and not the next so don't jump to conclusions saying people have no skills when you have never seen them play.

I do use a shotgun, the biggest problem with it is the suit its most effective with (scout) is ineffective with current damage/hp mechanics in regards to auto fire weapons. Which the medium suit shotgunners also suffer from. If TTK wasn't so low right now the shotgun would be fine. If you continue to complain about anything other than that (damage, hit detection, etc) you are literally a whiney ***** who needs to learn to aim. The shotgun can, without damage mods, 2 shot most suits in the game and 3 shot everything but the max hp stacked heavies. Learn to aim scrubs.

If you need 4 shots with a 1500HP shotgun, you must be playing with a braille controller and TV, lol. I thought I was being nice with the 3 round clip. Should be no more than 2 with that kind of damage, imho.

Scout suits are great if you can survive in them. Give them another shot?
PS: A key consequence to this suggestion would be an overall increase in situational awareness. This seems to be what people lack when trying to use the scout suit (from what I've heard from people I suggest it to). Once they alter their play style accordingly, they all seem to do much better with it. |

I don't mind being OHK'd by a Shotgun at 3m, but I'll still take that ISK for a tank of your hands.
Though it most likely won't be used for a tank, but on gear to destroy a tank.

Well, that's more of a problem with the amount of HP logis can stack while also being able to put out maximum effective fire. Cause I can guarantee you that my best proto assault suit can only sustain 2 shots from a shotgun. Someone was nice enough to test that for me last night lol. But it has nothing to do with the damage output or anything else of the shotgun. It is more so that logis are simply too good right now and Im a fool for not using a logi suit.

I do believe that SGs should do more damage, but I think that 3x more damage is a bit too much.
We have to remember that they are still niche weapons, and then there is Mr Heavy to think about. He should be able to survive a good shot or to with a shotgun. (But no more than 3)
And I couldn't imagine how much damage a PRO Breach SG would do. We might as well make them AV weapons against LAVs.
