Reason, can't afford to run proto suits with all the dropships I buy.
Question, does running a python with the best smods available and prototype missiles count as protostomping? I don't think it does, bit that's up to you.
If so then I suppose I do.
Reason, the assault dropship has much better handing which I find indespenseable in almost all combat situations. Although it has less seats for transporting it makes up for it by giving my gunners higher damage for better covering fire. The pilot gun is also useful for covering my squad if the objective requires more than 2-3 mercs, I can also help with DPs against tanks and other dropships. |

Do you see level 30's in WoW PvPing in arena or battlegrounds vs 80+?

No way do I protostomp. I run STD gear 99% of the time, even in FW. 1% ADV. And it's all scout all the time, baby. You can take that and put it in your pipe and smoke it.
Sometimes I get rolled, and sometimes I roll, but ALL the times I feel like a badass.
And it's good for the newbs, who I have compassion for. And it's good for my ISK, and it's good training, and it gives me a leg to stand on when I give proto stompers crap for being try-hard, chicken pansies. |

I'm not sure using a proto scout suit counts as stomping there, Sinboto. 5 slots as opposed to 7,8 or 9 for medium frame users? Drastically Less CPU/PG. Less health..... Minimal speed bonus..... eh, up to you guys; I wouldn't know.
I got proto for the passive skill bonus and the swank pink dropsuit. |

I run proto scout, because I have to, just to be competitive. I run ADV suits/gear on my alts, cuz its more fun stomping NFSounds et. Al. in ADV gear when they are all in proto.

Never will you see me wearing a proto suit, I can't bare to lose more isk than I earn in a match, I'm a bit ocd about it, in fact I can't remember the last time I used anything other than a starter fit with a basic assault rifle and a few advanced modules added, there's so much more satisfaction in coming top 3 on the scoreboard with a positive isk pay out having only worn a 10 thousand isk suit. |

with the exception of the last week for the event 80% of my suits are under 20k (my main suit around 4k) i have proto... and occasionally whip it out to show off to all the fresh young newberries but normally i like to keep it in my pa... ahem warbarge. |

No, I very rarely use anything above advanced for pubs, that goes for modules even. I might bring out a Proto Forge for special moments but thats about the only proto stuff I use for pubs.
Reason - I want to save up money, I wasnt that involved in PC (so I dont sit on all that free cash many have) due to the huge amount of lag and disconnects I get and I really like the advanced stuff the heavy class got. |

No - I rarely squad up (which seems like a prereq), and I haven't bothered to skill into any PRO suits...I buy a few of the aurum equivalents on occasion for funsies, but I generally still solo with them.
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?

if you use a heavy with a duvolle it kind of feels like proto-stomping
advanced amarr heavy, duvole, 2 damage mods, 1 plate, one repairer. still around 1300hp with the right upgrades.
or no damage mods, just shield extenders, no repairer, just a plate and you have 1500+hp. |
