This response is so stupid I walked into a wall reading it, while sitting down, outside, in a field.

From what i heard, there will be new weapons and suits for each class. I do hope there will be a respec in 1.7 if that is the case. 2 reasons


1st. You should have put all the races in the beginning (The Uprising 1.1 patch). It was weird as hell seeing only amarr heavy. I was like "wtf?" I would have gotten what i needed if they were there already.

2nd. I don't think it is humane to have us save up another 2 - 3 mill just to spec into a new suit. I am almost done with my proto forge suit, all i have to do is max out the pg and cpu to lvl 5 and i'm done. I don't want to have to use up the sp i saved for that just to get another suit. It will be just total crap because i spent weeks getting this sp and i have plans on what to use it on, it would be disrupted and a waste of time having to play this game knowing i could have gotten what i needed knowing that a respec would have been necessary for this patch.


If you can't give us a respec could you at least fix the forge gun bug i constantly get in corp battles and sometimes get in pub matches. I do not lag and my forge gun won't fire sometimes when i hold the button. Then i would let go of the button and it would release the blast and waste my ammo. It can be frustrating at times, especially when i am responsible on covering an objective. It messed me up quite a few times in PC matches, some with STB vs OH and AE.

What if you get a respec once every racial item comes out? All suits, weapons, etc? That way, everybody is happy.

Disagree, their are people who save up for future content, that would be a slap in the face to then
and don't count core skills as part of skilling a suit,nor weapons

I hope there won't be a respec with 1.7. You said you were done with respecs it is important you stick to that. Anything less will encourage this "I need a respec because I messed up or want to change" QQ that is a totally short sighted perspective on the issue.

Remember to tell players that every skill is useful or will be useful. They should think of their mistakes or dead ends as an investment in the future.

People need to get around this idea that what CCP says can be counted on. It cannot.

CCP has absolutely no credibility with their promises. If you still trust them, that is on you, and I hope you enjoy disapointment.

But I reiterate, that at no point has anyone at CCP said that suits are coming in 1.7. If you have a source for such a statement, please provide it.

Ah, yet another one. No more respecs! At most a true final respec when all content is released, be that in 2months or a year. Constant respecs will do nothing but encourage FOTM users and destroy all balance as people skew stats and invoke many unneeded nerfs/buffs. Not to mention everyone speccing into new content, finding they don't like it and crying for yet another respec.

Partial respecs for changing skill trees, fine go ahead. I have mis-spent a lot of SP, even after 2 respecs (beta reset being the first) by thinking a skill would benefit me, or it became obsolete as my style changed. I recovered, lived with my mistake and committed to the grind to get what I wanted. My point is I'm not asking for that SP back, those "wasted" points are invested and may become useful again one day.

Live with your choices and at the very least think of those unwanted skills as an investment, banked SP you will get back when/if it happens.

CCP is pretty set in its ways about a consistent universe, a respec probably will happen, but it will be when - and only when - CCP are ready.

Sucks for you then, since CCP is VERY interested in giving us an AUR option, since you know, business.

Only as a "one off" thing. But not as a constant feature.

I can understand CCP handing out one more respec (forcing everyone to reallocate their SP) if the skill tree gets overhauled, every core racial suit gets added, core racial weapons get added, vehicles get taken away that you skilled into, etc.

But I will NEVER endorse in any way, shape or form, a respec as a constant feature.

Are you talking about the "skill back booster" that they were looking into? Last time I checked, even the most outspoken pro-respec people hate that idea. Although I don't see a problem with it given the level of restrictions it imposes.

This is my take on it also. I will fight against any respec proposed until we reach the point where:

1) We have the full racial lineups for dropsuits, weapons, and vehicles - including the missing vehicle classes.

2) We have finalized dropsuit role and racial bonuses.

3) We have finalized the stats and behavior of all equipment(e.g. active scanners).

4) We have finalized the WP reward structure for the various roles(e.g. WP for damage done by swarms).

5) We have had two balancing passes on all of the above.

And if that takes a year, then so be it.

In a way yes. You chose to do what you did. Either you didn't look at the limited selections available or you chose to ignore them but you chose to do it. I understand that you wanted to play a certain way but you can only play with the toys we have and you chose the empty box. No one forced you to put your SP into an underdeveloped skill tree but you chose to. No one forced you to keep putting SP into frame size that is limited but you chose to.

You chose everything about the game you are playing just like everyone else and you are unhappy with your choices. You were shortsightedand now you are posting a QQ thread about it and being trolled for it.
