??? Not difficult at all to do with another device, known as a finger. The process is simple, press the fire button, and immediately take your finger off the fire button. Repeat as fast as possible.
Seriously, I was trying to figure out what this post was all about. I guess i'm one of the few people who doesn't just hold down the fire button (I know that is not the case). Pretty much every game ever made with an automatic weapon sends bullet dispersion and barrel movement through the roof if you just hold the fire button. A "Turbo Fire Controller" is not needed what so ever for this, as most people have been training this technique since the very first shooter they ever played.
Granted, my targeting reticule does jump a little.......of course other than my AR Operation, all my other AR skills are at 2. And i'm not saying the AR is not OP and broken at the moment, TTK is out of hand. Not sure what people think they have found in this video, but whatever it is, they are mistaken. |

Hey Cosgar.
Of course we're still reading this :) We generally crawl through most of the stuff on the forums.
Some of the things that people post simply aren't true. While I don't want to comment on any case specifically, I will say that we don't shun away from fixing issues/making balance changes because we feel the need to appease a specific subset of players.
There are several classes of Dropsuits/Weapons/etc in the game for a reason, and we're constantly looking to make improvements and adjustments.
Hope that provides some of the clarity you were looking for.

If your willing to listen on this, I have a solution that used to get me on the game Call of duty world at war. I used to play it quite a bit and I didnt actually use a modded controller, but they had a system put in place where if a weapon cycles its "firing" on and off at too quick of a rate of fire, it locks your gun at a slower rate of fire for the match. I unfortunately did this quite a bit with my rapid fire trigger finger but it worked to drop the modded controllers off the map for a while until they calibrated them to fire at just under the systems penalty point...if this is even understood in such relaxed terms x.x

I miss the days when devs used to open a topic saying "Hey guys, I'm working on this, and could really use your feedback on how it should be done." We're never going to see the road map, I get that, but give us some of the checkpoints along the way. I really can't take another Uprising 1.0 for things to get better.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

It's not even that shocking. Tank nerds with ridiculous stats got there by abusing the red line. AR nerds with higher than 2 kdr are all abusing turbo controllers. What a surprise.
With that great of an accuracy, who needs auto aim? It's just a cherry on top. |

I used to be a guy who said htfu to ar complaints because I use one, am not terrible and I struggle to maintain a 2.0 KDR. Turns out I could be an internet superstar if I just buy this controller off of amazon. I'm not even angry, just disappointed that it took this long for it to come to light. 
No burst fire or feathering manually can do anything resembling what was shown in that video. Drop everything and fix this, ccp. |

BS, there's plenty that can be done to detect this & macros, it's simple because the input is well outside "normal" and other titles manage to detect it. While they're at it would be nice if they rethought letting people play entire matches 300ms+ in the past on lag comp.

You missed the point of this video entirely ...
It is not a "gameplay" video.
It was set up to demonstrate, under controlled conditions, the effect a turbo controller has on kick and dispersion of fire ... to point out a programming flaw and game exploit/cheat.

No need for turbo, hack, mod, or whatever in the first place. Same effect can be generated by tapping the fire button repeatedly as if an auto is semi. Thus I could care less what someone does, as long as it doesn't impact how good I am, or am not. |
