DUST Search - Why do people hate Shotguns?

Best piece of advice I ever got for BF3.

"BF3 is really only 25% gun game. It's mostly a game of angles in all honesty. Think of it this way. No matter how good of a shot you are, it's hard to kill someone when they are perpendicular to you when the firefight starts. The flank is dangerous for a reason, you can be killed before you can react."
