If you're willing to blow tons of ISK to use all proto suits and equipment to maximize your WP gains, you could probably cap out in 20-25 hours.
After that run free suits in ambushes because 334 WP per match to reach 1000/1500/2000 SP is easy street.
Regardless, it's going to be a long week. |

Seriously? Dude...you are getting triple active SP and If you have a booster it's a multiplicative effect. They didn't have to have the increased SP event at all. If they just announced the other 3x November events and left off the Triple SP the overwhelming majority of folks would think it's a really nice nod to the community.
They did you a solid by adding the triple SP. If you are concerned with the grind...then don't grind, just play your normal amount and enjoy the extra SP you get. |

Then live your life. No one forces you to play a certain amount per week; just play what you can, when you want.
Let me be clear...not trying to be sharp with you at all. My perspective on this is that they are giving you free SP and you can play your normal amount with a nice bonus; or play less for the same reward and do other things with your time; or play extra and maximize the SP potential. None of these options were available to you unless they offered the Triple SP bonus...you've been given more choice than you would have had.
Would i have liked a full Active and Passive Triple bonus - of course! But they are doing a good thing for us and I recognize and appreciate it.

You do not need to get the 10 kills in the same match. It is cumulative.
Oh yes, CCP, you've done it again; you didn't listen to the community about the result of the last double/triple SP event considering only active battle SP...
Now I have to only play ambushes, cause Dominations and Skirmishes are going to be full of AFK farmers in the MCC due to the extended time needed to cap. Prepare for yet another boring week...

Terrible decision.
To all those who say "Well, it's free SP, just enjoy it." I will, but the problem is everyone complained about the last time they did it this way, and everyone said it was a worse event, and made the grind even worse, and CCP didn't listen! The playerbase complains all the time about the grind, why would you even consider making it worse?! Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved the previous "true" triple SP event. If you want to bring players back from other games and re-energize the players who are still here, this is a foolish way to do it.
IF it actually eliminated (which it didn't and won't) AFK, that might be one thing. But it DOESN'T.
- It takes longer to cap so AFKers stick around longer
- It only makes protostomping worse, and since it will also take longer to cap, the protobears will stay in pubs longer before retreating to PC once they are at/near cap.
Bottom line is this: It makes the grind WORSE because it actually takes LONGER than usual to cap for probably a majority of people who don't reliably get 2-3000 WP every game.
This is how a triple SP event should work: It takes the same amount of time/effort to cap, but you end up with 3x as much SP at the end of the week.Period.

Same type as in, If I make 10 kills with a CDR-9 Assault SR do I get a Carthum Assault SR or do I get a no-good Imperial SR?

So being new to dust, but not to fps games, this supposed triple sp event has not tripled anything... I see the weekly bonus sp cap has tripled, but the sp I get per match is the same as I was getting before... I am having a HARD time getting 4k sp. I guess I have to play 35 hours or more this week to hit this cap... Nice way to take care of new players and turn them to the other new games out there like ghost warrior and gta5..... Not having more options of game types with suit/wp/sp limits means I get to go out and boost some proto wearing yahoo's ego with nothing but time on their hands. There HAS to be more options for new people to get up to speed, the battle academy was 1 game for me and I got 1400 wp and was thrown into proto level matches with militia gear. I spent my sp on getting the gek38 and enhanced armor just so I can get wasted by a sub machine gun straight up. There really needs to be matches that are only for militia, then standard, then advanced, then proto level is the holy grail of matches, and if people in militia want to brave it out and donate in the proto level, then by all means let them, but to not have that option is going to be this games downfall. Final note is I know it is not my playing skill because some of the players running in squads in the battle academy matches were names like fggglajsj and other random isk farming names, and the fact that I was 19 kills and 2 deaths and took on 3 at a time more than once that were the opposing teams biggest wp winners means I cannot be that bad. |

People are never satisfied. You could give 1m sp to every player, no strings attached, and still have someone cry about it. Get back under your bridge trolls. Go get some attention from your friends....oh wait.....nvm....just go sit in the corner and ponder why you don't have any.
Seriously people, just be glad you got an event as great as this. It could have been a lot worse. You could still be getting 1k sp per match after your initial 180k.

Much better event criteria this month guys. All we have to do is... kill things  ... I think we can manage that.
There is also no annoying thresholds to try and reach, so we don't have to really worry about counting every kill. We can just step up, participate a bit, and get rewarded for it, nice.
I would suggest you guys consider doing something slightly different for the bonus SP events though. People who want to take full advantage of it have to put in a ton of extra work to make that happen. If thats your intent thats fine, just tossing the feedback out there that longer grinds are sort of  .

I'm having fun in general, don't get me wrong, but I don't agree with the way the faux-triple SP event is set up, *mainly* because of the pub-stomping increase. I will take half the team AFKing any day of the week over a good hard pub-stomp. Ironically, that's a better match than Scotty can manage because you'll probably have a similar number of blues and reds sitting around scratching their arses.
How come I end up in games against a full squad of proto-suits who wipe the floor with us? I'm running an advanced suit - judging by the spectacular one-sidedness of the matches, most others on my team aren't running proto either. How is that a match? Doesn't this mean Scotty is broken?
Battles I am in are *totally* spoilt when it's a pub-stomp, regardless of which side I'm on. That's not fun at all. *Please* understand I want to be rewarded with moar SP :D without being subjected to a massive increase in pub-stomping. There's already solutions that allow this, already advocated in this thread.
I'd mention some other ideas, like introducing lobbies where the meta level of gear is restricted? Then I can play safely with the other kids, and play with the bigger boys when I feel like a challenge. But that might derail...oops. You get the idea. Do you CCP? DO YOU! Arrghhhh |

Personally it's too much effort/ISK for me to try to earn 3k WP each match. So I just drop uplinks and AFK or hunt turrets. |

Let's just hope it's a glitch.  CCP has done well in the past when they do events such as these. I think someone just forgot to flip a switch  . Let's give it a minute and see what happens. In the mean time, let the grinding begin. Should make for a quick weekend...lol |
