Terrible decision.
To all those who say "Well, it's free SP, just enjoy it." I will, but the problem is everyone complained about the last time they did it this way, and everyone said it was a worse event, and made the grind even worse, and CCP didn't listen! The playerbase complains all the time about the grind, why would you even consider making it worse?! Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved the previous "true" triple SP event. If you want to bring players back from other games and re-energize the players who are still here, this is a foolish way to do it.
IF it actually eliminated (which it didn't and won't) AFK, that might be one thing. But it DOESN'T.
- It takes longer to cap so AFKers stick around longer
- It only makes protostomping worse, and since it will also take longer to cap, the protobears will stay in pubs longer before retreating to PC once they are at/near cap.
Bottom line is this: It makes the grind WORSE because it actually takes LONGER than usual to cap for probably a majority of people who don't reliably get 2-3000 WP every game.
This is how a triple SP event should work: It takes the same amount of time/effort to cap, but you end up with 3x as much SP at the end of the week.Period.

The total # of suits rewarded are capped regardless of the weapon, as is (at least) each individual rewarded weapon, that's how I interpret it. I'm still waiting to hear the exact reward per weapon and confirmation that you can get say AR and ScR rewards. So few people are skilled into proto scouts I'm surprised so many are planning on using proto weapons. Considering you get double the amount of rewards per kill if you use ADV weapons that seems like the smarter move. I use them 99% of the time anyway so not much will change for me. I just want a couple quafe suits as a collectors item and that's about it.

Right, so you would only get 100 quafe suits no matter what. Question is, can you get 100 ScR and 100 AScR?
