Pubs are a horrible, horrible way to analyze any type of suit/weapon and people should be very careful to judge performance based on how well it does in Pubs (looking at you too, CCP). I have been an ak.0 user ever since it got introduced and I still run it in PCs; the only true environment where you get to see if a weapon, suit or combination of both is truly OP, and what happens when you put multiples of a particular powerful combo at play. And I can tell you that the Amarr Assault is not as OP in comparison to things like the Burst HMG for example, it is only when put in an environment where 300EHP and under suits are running about that it seems to be punching way above their weight class.

I still think my CR is way more powerful and reliable than my ScR is, it is comparatively far easier to fit, requires no sorts of "management' in the weapon's mechanics side, did I mention it doesn't take 20 PG to fit? why do you think I have Optimization 5 for the ScR. Consider the fact that I have the Amarr Assault, Amarr Sentinel and Min/Gal/Cal Scout, all set up as slayer suits so I attempt to make my opinion as objective as I can.

I fear that the emergent popularity of the suit and CCP's "ingenious" PUB-based data mining will cause them to make sweeping changes like they always do and just restart the vicious cycle of nerf-induced FOTM

I fear that the emergent popularity of the suit and CCP's "ingenious" PUB-based data mining will cause them to make sweeping changes like they always do and just restart the vicious cycle of nerf-induced FOTM I also have the fitting skill at lvl 5, the 20 PG it uses is monstrous to say the least, all of something players that got killed by it do not realize, to make the AK.0 work in the passed, you had to give up on a couple of goodies, where other suit users could run better plates/shields/reps/hives etc our biggest drain was to our PG, luckely the suit had a good starting PG, but that came at a cost of less slots, we receives 6 total slots and could fit less, but higher quality then the other suits, but back in the slayer logi days, i had the logi skills up to lvl 3 so that i could equip NEO proto suits and compare them to my AK.0. Each and every fit i made with the AK.0, the calogi and the Galogi blew my fit out of the sky, even the Amarr Logi gave me the benefit of multiple equipment slots, back then when everyone had scaneritis, not having one really made every battle i went through a uphill battle especially since ive never really run in a squad or had support to back me up, except for Madlax but he ran pure assault stuff and at the start of a battle we each went our own way to minimize Redberry disruption. When i then got enough sp to put it in other stuff, i bought both the RR and the CR up to proto and hooboy this let me do all sorts of stuff to my suit, but still trying out the same fit in logi suits, still trumped my AK.0. The CR can be fired without the need for a backup plan, it just works all the time without any overhead and after fitting the SCR, the fitting requirements on it where to laugh at, while its damage output wasn't. My highest score ive ran solo sits at 87/3 using an Amarr Logi against a full team when it still had its rep bonus, using a Boundless CR and equiping a scanner, i was so disgusted by the powerup over my Amarr Assault suit that i never ran it again. And now the Amarr Assault is better then the Logistics version, i bet like you say, CCP is already shaking from Nerfitis Withdrawal and cannot wait to put the suit back on the chopping block. Though looking back at it, the Galogi in it's prime, equiped with a CR would still trump the now updated AK.0, purely because of the flexible equipment it could carry, though those suits ran rampant for more then half a year. I still remember my own quote from when i saw the Logistic suits stats and i was like "hooboy the Calogi is THE best assault suit before they came out, but i never specced into them because they will be nerfed in 2 weeks" ....i have no idea how anyone at CCP didnt see it coming when they where designing the stats. I agree, most people are completely unaware of how hard it is to fit without sacrifice and how many SP's need to be sunk in to obtain ideal fittings. I still have a few mil of SP's to sink in before I can fit exactly what I want. I completely agree that most players also do not understand the management skills required to not constantly overheat and positioning is also vital to control engagements. In the video you may notice that after killing the one scout inside a heavy came in, I took half the shields then told the logi up the stairs for better positioning which gave the time needed to finish him on my terms. In PC I do not do excessively well with the ScR, it's one of the harder weapons to use against proper fittings, I still go positive normally, but not in the same way. I hope it doesn't get nerfed because of Pub matches. I use 5 different proto suits & have 6 light weapons, 3 sidearms & the HMG all to proto. I like to think I'm competent with it ^^ http://youtu.be/ZozY1ZIPtcc Looks like some solid skills with the SCR, but like Tibby said, use the charged at least charge it while scoping and releasing it when fully scoped then move on to a tripple tap to put his lights out, the small 0.3-0.4 second charge while not extremely lethal will stop most suits, especially shield suits or scouts very quickly, i used it mostly when at times i was shot in the back, charge while turning, scope and release, or if they are in your face, no scope. I did think it was funny how they all just kept throwing themselves at you lol on those stairs while you had a logi in your back, reminds me back to the Gallogi times with a repper behind it /shivers, i would say to have your friend take Repper hives with him, put down 2 at such a point and i doubt they could damage you. Now since i got a PS4 and a Venom X so that i can use my KBM on the PS4 (totally inept with a controller) So whoever can beat me with a DS3/4 while i use a KBM setup has in my eyes a serious skillset, more then me really. So with all the SCR threads going on about Turbo controllers etc, the Venom X also has a auto-fire setting, so after tweaking it for a good hour on my PS3 this morning, it feels really spot on as i went from derp-fest to an actual KBM feel with it, no double pixel aiming when only trying to move 0.1 pixels etc so all good and well. Then i put on the aim assist and put auto-fire at 20 rounds per second, while it did not reach those numbers the SCR put out 25 rounds before overheat kicked in O_O', the best i can manage is 8-9 rounds a second without loosing any accuracy, but not all the time and not in every situation. I ran a 40/3 that game and spawned in at around 55% finished. Normally if i can get 25/3 these days when i log on, i did really well. While in that game, i pretty much insta-gibbed anything i came across, heavy, logi, 2 people at the same time, Heavy and 2 people at the same time, it really did not matter much, one heavy went from 100% health to 0% in 1 single update of his healthbar the diffrence of 8-9 rounds a second or 12.5 is staggering, especially when used with 3 damage mods. The only thing why the forum is not flooded is because mostly scrubs are using it and they put allot of holes in the air surrounding the target. Also the odd thing i found out when it was on 20 rounds a second as opposed to 13 rounds a second, the SCR felt as if it was shooting ghost bullets, because the scr max RPM is 12.5 rounds a second, 20 or 13 should all be 13 maxed out, yet at 20 rounds a second, it definitely fired allot more rounds then what should be possible, yet only showed 25 rounds fired before overheating. They should fix this with a weapon jam or something, but most likely it will get the weapon nerfed beyond use. So on the following movies ill alternate between manually clicking with my Razor Naga Mouse and my Venom X mouse witch has Turbo set to max speed. While i played 1 round with the Turbo Controller everything died really easy, like in no effort on my part, when i play with the Naga Mouse, eveything dies slower. So after taking the movies, it seems i can manually click as fast as my turbo mouse, i can max out the ROF on my SCR with my fingers, i was not able to that when i last checked how many clicks i could get in a second and trying it with a clicking flash game over a 10 second period of time it drops to about 7 clicks a second on average, the initial click burst is fast but it dies out really quickly. This is with a Amarr Assault, all scrambler skills at V, at some point i do it scoped in and i loose 2 rounds just from zooming the gun in and having 1 finger in a used position, with the turbo you still get the same amount of round on target. So i guess for me, using the turbo controller only frees up more brain-time to line up better shots, i did notice that with the turbo on, the gun had allot more kick and i had to control the additional recoil, where when i clicked i was compensating for it unconsciously or it didn't have the kick. Needs more testing in an actual game. What i do know now is that if people mailed me back in the day about me using a Turbo controller, it looks like they are attached to my arms and are called hands :p i didnt exactly stop to see how "many" rounds i could get in every day and if i had improved my clicking skills. Also small test with a none caldari scout suit in the third movie. PS: when i am manually clicking, it you will notice the shots are not as smooth and stutter a little bit as when using the venom X, there just one smooth stream and the first time i showed my clicking i messed up by just concentrating on the camera instead of the clicks, second try i ignored the camera. PPS: somewhere i mess up the ammo counter and start at 42 rounds and end at 16 rounds. So final verdict, all the people that claim that can only get out "6" shots on average per second need to have their fingers replaced, period because i have carpal tunnel on both hands and decreased manual dexterity due to numb hands that feel swollen if i play to much. The SCR's problem is really just the Turbo controller scrubs that have latched onto it, its like on PC FPS games, whatever gives them an edge they will use it. Something we day 1 amarr assault users cannot claim as the suit has been an underdog, especially compared to the logi's back in those days not to mention KBM controls have been a joke since Uprising, the venom X makes aiming really smooth.
