Cool there are 80 million PS3s in the world.....Yet, only about 2000-3000 of those actually play the game.

I'm pretty dam sure porting DUST514 will become a priority for CCP when they see their playerbase on the PS3 all but disappear when the PS4 is released.

The kind of numbers it's attracted since launch aren't known either, nor is P+¬tursson prepared to talk about them. Probably, they're small, but "it has revenue and people are playing", and the game is improving each month depending on their needs. There are even stories worth talking about.

Do the math, its higher than 2000 players.

Where's the logic in alienating the market that buys stuff like next gen consoles?

Problem is, most folk are skint atm and with stores offering trade in promotions for the next gen consoles most folk will simply do that leaving dust's playerbase even lower than it is now. at least launch a client for ps4, nothing needs changing dramatically just a way to play the game while they look at bringing a port to it eventually

What do you actually think the adoption rate of a new console really is? How long did it take before people stopped buying PS2s?
