well, that's not what I expected.
how many times would you have to die in a match before being reprimanded properly? kicked from the game is no reprimand, and there must be repercussions to suicideing yourself 20 times, or playing in such a stupid manner that you die 20 times. |

really? we're 9 months in and we're running out of things to skill. there are guys in my corp that are sitting on 3.5m sp just waiting for an update |

Oh.. it will definitely do that, every time people plays in a Pubstomped server they will just do the "smart" thing, and leave the battle... |

I went quite close to this result once. My final score was 46-18 with an alt character (that I made just to play with cheap gear and have fun without worrying about stats) and it was one of the most intense games I've ever played.
Game mode was Domination and the map was the new one with the underground section and the null cannon right down there. A perfect hell.
So no, I disagree, I never died that much before, but it actually *might* happen if you play very aggressively (which I do not with this character)... and even if my KDR was not great, I'm pretty sure my team would have lost without me.
It was fun.
Suicide trolling is a different story, but who does that? I can't believe someone can have fun suiciding over and over... and over... ... wow, you really must be bored...! |

Disagree - there are times when you are being seriously outmatched - in Eve this the loss of a pod is usually due to being AFK or stupidity/ignorance instead of GTFO. In Dust, it happens when you are working your ass off and trying to win. No reason to punish trying. |

This is just a punishment to New guys for a **** matchmaker.
Its not "Smart" for a game that's all about dieing to punish people for doing so.
It really isn't.
DUST is EVE for the console player.
And the Console player isn't into having to restart a bunch of times cause they played the game in a reckless way. If I wanted to be really careful, then I would play the Sims, but I'm not.
I'm playing a shooter, where I kill and die.
Punishing the main point of a shooter is a surefire way to kill it.
The current punishment for death is adequate. You lose a suit, which can be made back in a very short amount of time.
You lose a 500k SP skill, and it takes you weeks to train it back.
How many new guys do you think are willing to deal with **** like that? |

When I am playing objective game types I push the objective with my squad, if there are heavy hitters on the opposing team then it is likely that I will have double digit deaths this does not phase me though as my load out costs about 8k. OP, did your team lose because of getting cloned out and this post is a biproduct of your rage? |

What if your being greifed by a melee injector exploit, where you invite someone on other team to chat channel and organize to rapid kill someone as a wp farm?
It's near impossible to quit the game when this happened to me |

If you die 20 times in one match CCP should see this whilst they are looking at other server stats and maybe consider implamenting a matchmaking system, rather than just saying they implamented a matchmaking system.
As for the poor sod who died 20x, sucks to be him and I'm sure he aint to happy about it. Any other punishment than that is severe and not needd

there are two ways to lose skill points in EvE forgetting to update your clone and getting podded or losing a tech 3. losing normal ships or up to date clones has nothing but financial repercussions.

Maybe slow down a bit? I mean, the game has two game modes and 5 maps, I honestly can't comprehend how some of you guys can cap every week with such little content available.
I know I'm not even anywhere vaguely close to "running out of things to skill" and the biggest thing that keeps me from playing the game is getting tired of needing to wait for weeks on end just to upgrade a skill by 2% or unlock a a new piece of gear that is only 5% better than the last piece of gear I had.
The grind vs. the amount of content in this game is insanely lopsided, to the point of being laughable. |
