Awesome stuff, CCP. The headshot noise was almost reward enough, but that extra WP will be a nice piece of flair as well! |

Awesome! Here's another wp idea: Warpoints based on suit disparity means that you get the current +50 when you are fighting a suit of the same tier as yours. If you kill a suit one tier higher, you get +15 warpoints per tier in addition to the +50, so a militia suit killing a proto would get + 95 warpoints*. If you kill a suit a tier lower, you get -15 warpoints per tier, so a proto suit killing a militia suit would get 5 warpoints**.
I feel that this would contribute greatly to balancing public matches while still rewarding both old and new players. I do not recommend this for faction warfare or planetary conquest.

A question: has the hack speed for counter-hacking null cannons increased? If I'm not mistaken it was taking a lot longer to counter hack than to hack.
If the speed is the same slow speed it was, is the 75 WP for a counter-hack enough given the longer time a player is exposed at the terminal? I can see 75 WP for undoing something that was only partially done. But if it takes a lot longer to counter-hack I'd expect a commensurate reward. Would you talk about your thinking for setting it to 75 WP? |

This is a really solid idea... I think this needs to be implemented ASAP.
Also, stopping killstreaks would be cool. +5 WP for each kill the guy had since he last died.

While this could create some balance, the differences in tiers feels too extreme. I would only recommend a 5pt increase per level if anything.
Additionally, and this is a big point, WP based on suit disparity would highly encourage more players to choose the role of the sniper. Simply theorycrafting here, a high proficiency Std. Minmatar Assault can fit a Charge Sniper 2x Complex Dmg Mods, 1x Enh Dmg Mod, Complex CPU, and 1x X-3 Quantum Nanohive.
This highly economized suit can output over 450 dmg per shot from over 400 meters with 30 additional rounds to spare before resupply. Again these figures are calculated on a high SP character. |

Apologies if this has been answered already in the 1.5 patch notes thread but:
If a teammate deployed from a dropship successfully hacks an enemy objective in the given minute, does the pilot gain the WP even if the hack finishes after the minute is up? |

These are well-balanced and make sense to me. Nice work CCP. I would add that pilots/drivers should get rewards from CRU spawns the same way uplinks are rewarded. I'd also like to see WPs awarded based on the amount of damage you do when multiple friendlies kill something (e.g. If I do 75% of the damage and a team mate finishes them off, then I get 75% of the WP, they get 25% and credit for the kill). This isn't urgent, but I think it would make people less concerned with kill stealing. You guys have a ton on your plate, so these changes cover most of the glaring holes. Well-done. |

Good job, CCP peeps. I like how these WP rewards follow the natural gameplay of mercs who focus on contributing to their team. They seem well balanced with the combat rewards and it's great to see those hard-working pilots get a little WP love. Lord knows they've earned it. |

Everything sounds great, but in regards to transport points what if you use a mobile CRU on your dropship? You are still transporting them, so to speak, but they technically haven't travelled 100 m. |

Assists should be proportional to the percent of total HP damage dealt, not a flat number.
Headshots are their own reward; they get you a kill faster, extra WP are not needed. WP should be used to incentivize being helpful to the team, not for rewarding 1337 skills (which already get rewarded anyway since skills get you more kills). |

Logibro said he thinks that the pilot wouldn't get WP in this case but he'd have a look into it as obviously it would be rather annoying. |

In the Intel rewards it mentions this "Intel Assist rewards will still be received up to 10 seconds after a scan has ended"
Does this mean when the "targets scanned" has finished or the equipped scanner has finished as these times are very different.
Tactical timing is an issue here.

I think you guys should go nuts on war points and lower their value. Make them for everything, running over people, jumping from tall buildings or dropping out of a drop ship and into battle, etc., etc.
It's fun to see scores soar even if they are meaningless to some extent. |

I disagree sir. I think we should have more orbitals in games. Orbitals can really change the course of battle. In a way (kind of) more easily attainable orbitals can level the playing field for a bunch of noobs and keep them interested in the game.
I'm hoping for more than just orbitals in the future though. Or at least different types of orbitals like time released bombs (scatter bombs) or orbitals that rain down plasma balls and they stay on fire for a certain amount of time. |

I can only imagine this is paving way for a new method of gaining orbitals because as it currently stands, the method of obtaining them is sort of Call of Duty Killstreak like. The winning team usually has more War Points and thereby gets something to help them keep winning, whereas the losing team could benefit from it more.
Considering True Grit was talking about revamping orbitals so that they were only available in High-Sec, with Faction Warfare and PC requiring Eve Support.. I kinda like this. Just means that whoever thought to bring friends is going to get the bone, rather than whoever is winning at the time. |
