With the release of the 30 day passive Omega boosters at 65k AUR, I take it CCP is in some need of some cash. At 65K AUR a pop, the new Omega boosters are a rip off. I am going to stick with the regular boosters at 28k a pop and save myself tons of money. Good going CCP another POS idea in the bag. Keep this up and the next time you will be selling the Omega boosters at 100k AUR to make up for the lost revenue. |

So this thread is what happens when a person with obsessive compulsive disorder that must have everything also happens to have a sense of principles regarding money.
You know, normal people just don't buy the booster. |

I find that logic odd considering the passive gives out the same amount of SP to everyone.

I remember when I got a 30 day omega passive booster for like $20 or less. If it's more than that, then LOL.... NO.
Geez.. It's not like I'm playing. I would have dropped maybe $20 not to play, (cause I can. And I'll be playing gta online) But not more.

meh some people will still buy these, and they will progress alot faster because of it.
end of the day I don't really care, I mean I don't have the highest sp of any player in this game, and I never will. It's not a race anymore I'm just laying to progress and because of that omega boosters aren't for me. |

A 30-day omega passive booster is a 720,000 SP gain for $32
A standard passive booster is a 360,000 SP gain.
... is $32 worth it? Not sure. |

Why not? It's already a "Wait to get ahead" game. I mean really. If I fight against people who got some SP due to Omega Boosters or if I fight against people who have 20 Million SP because they played since Beta? What's the difference. Contrary to Eve Online I at least have a chance to catch up. |

Good for you, congratulations. Luckily, this game isn't an extortion racket, so that decision is entirely up to you. |

Confirmed. This is for new to mid-tier chars. I'm at a point where as a 25mil Cal Logi primary with 14mil just in dropsuit upgrades, AR Prof V, AUR proto min & cal assaults and proto SMGs and Swarms... I'm just trying to figure out what to do with SP. Get LLAVs and assault dropships on this char just for throwaway PC transport?
is it worth it to push kincat to V to gain something like .04m/s run speed on a scout suit just for the the beginning of PC matches? Hmmmm.... will cost something like 726,000 SP to go from III to V and the AUR I would spend on a single omega booster (720,000 SP boost) is enough to keep me stocked on AUR proto kincats for a lifetime.
Same goes for AUR proto suits - would cost something like 180,000 AUR to gain SP from passive boosters to push from advanced level to proto level on a dropuit ... that's a lot of AUR proto dropsuits considering the racial suit bonuses suck ****.

This is a good example of player view being vastly diffrent to market data as EA discovered you can make more money by getting fewer players to pay more money they are happy to part with. Don't like it don't buy it. |

Of course you can catch up. Because with playing you make more SP than somebody who isn't. With using boosters you make more SP than somebody who doesn't use them. And when you hit 20 Mio SP I think many people stop using boosters anyways. I still had 150k Aurum on my character. I now spent it on Omega Boosters instead of going with my 1,5x Booster Plan. When these boosters run out I won't buy new ones because I have to save money.

They were always this expensive. They just were discounted during Fanfest.

Activate active omega on a Saturday afternoon. It now gives you boost for 2 weeks of cap.
~185,000 cap per week, so the above would give you a 370,000 SP boost for the price of a single active omega. I haven't seen the prices on them, but as long as they are less than half the cost of a passive omega, it is more value for your money if you are active. |

I might be more inclined to buy one of these if the game had more content in it. Just sayin'.
Also, I don't think it's because Dust needs money, since Eve is its sugar daddy for now. Might just be testing the waters to see how desperate we are for SP. |

Five Months of Regular Booster at 150k AUR: 5,400,000 Two Months of Omega Booster at 150k AUR: 2,880,000
The difference is 2,520,000 of just using the regular boosters
How is that saving money? It might be saving time, but nowhere near saving money. I really hope you did not just buy two months of omegas. You could have been set for five months of regular boosters.
As a player, I was really stoked about the re-release of Omegas. I thought the price of one Omega was going to be around 42 to 48k AUR. When I saw that they were over-priced, I was disappointed.

Good Point. Good thing that GTAV online comes out tomorrow.
GTAV has made more money in 1 day than CCP will ever make in one lifetime.
