Since I can't find my original post to edit, I'm just going to re-create it. Either way, the chart now has Omega Boosters tied into it and I have to say I'm a little disappointed at what I've come to find.
Bear in mind that the Cyan line is Total SP Accrued without Boosters, and the orange line above it is the Active Omega Booster.
http://i.imgur.com/yFyqC0V.png
So over the course of six months, someone using both of the Omega Boosters would have attained 9,318,400 SP more than someone who did not have any boosters at all for that duration. Do with the information what you will, but I for one think that this is a bit ridiculous. |

'bout $400 with 55,000 aurum to spare if you go with the 200,000 aurum packs. |

I'd imagine they do but considering that Marketing doesn't view the forums, let alone actively engage in the community - the only thing they see is the revenue gained from it rather than the disparity it causes and the feeling of 'pay-to-win' that potentially prevents new players from joining.

Yes, they did.
Exactly 50% more than regular boosters for more than twice than regular cost.
This is seriously not that big of a deal. You're not paying to win, nobody is skilling beyond proto and by the time you reach advanced gear they are more than manageable. |

Interesting argument. In that case, I would like an instant 20,000,000 SP right now for the fact that I bought the Collector's Edition of Eve Online and have been playing Eve Online for six years, paying via monthly subscription. You have no right to say otherwise. |

Freedom of speech doesn't apply to the internet. CCP only extends that right to its customers, and can revoke it at any time. It's not guaranteed. But I will speak anyway since nobody is going to stop me.
And with that speech I will point out that at no point when you bought the collectors edition was 20,000,000 Dust SP offered to you as part of the package.
Everything is working as intended.
If you want to play like a cheap person and spend nothing, your character will eventually be viable enough to tackle skillful protos. It will simply take a while longer. You are, after all, playing the game these people have been slaving over to create for free. Why should you receive the same treatment as someone who as effectively paid to support it?
It's not pay to win, but there should be an incentive to make cheap bastards actually support the game they are leeching off of. |

A thousand other ways that this can be done without creating disparity between players who can/do pay over those that can't/don't. The second they pulled the cosmetic dropsuits off the market was the second they turned their back on the vision of "all items will have an ISK variant". |

CCP's model is actually about as 'fair' as it gets for f2p. Absolutely nothing you can do with $$$ that you can't do in just a little more time if you're a cheap bastard. |

I've hit a point in my sp that I no longer need boosters. I have no issue with normal boosters but when you are able to add a extra 100% both to passive amd active, That is leaning towards a ptw system.
Edit, im talking the 6 month time with both omega. |

Find me another competitive F2P game that does this is and is considered favorable by gamers that has meta-game aspects like territorial gain. |

This is a tough issue. While I agree that there should be other ways for CCP to make it's money without pushing special boosters unfortunately boosters really are the only thing worth spending money on in this game. And I also think newer players are more likely to buy them. So it might actually help to make up the SP gap. Older players are so jaded right now it will be hard to get any money from them. Just my .02 isk.
edit: Can you imagine the uproar if the Omegas were only available to new players? lol |

AND that is why I have been saying this game was pay-2-win since the get-go.
Boosters work over long term to give you tons more SP than normal players. Its not fair to the people who can't afford it.
Using boosters for 1 year will give you all the SP you'll ever need in this game. |

I am all for new content. Please CCP, give me something else to spend my money on. Unfortunately right now boosters seem to be the best way for them to make money (especially Omegas). The only universal thing all people want in this game is moar SP. All the vanity items in the world will not sell as well as more SP. |

Yes, not fair. If someone can't afford to get Omegas, as opposed to someone who can, that's called UNFAIR. I haven't used a booster ever, and I'm just fine, but I've been playing forever, but am still on the average (10 million; don't play for weeks at a time)
A casual player will get buried in this game. You already have to play this game at a somewhat obsession to keep up in any sort of reasonable time table (6-8 months), so how can you catch up when someone who's getting 50% more than you.
Lets say on average a player earns 1 million SP per month (passive and bonus/WP)
Average PlayerBooster Player
1 month 1 million SP 1.5 million SP 2 months 2 million 3 million 3 months 3 million 4.5 million 4 months 4 million 6 million 5 months 5 million 7.5 million 6 months 6 million 9 million
What could you do with an extra 3 million SP? That pretty buys any skill book from start to finish (Excluding HAV stuff) Now, if you play oppressive. Max out all the bonus SP every week, plus have boosters, you will have more SP than you really will ever need in this game.
Note: my attempt at a table failed |

This help the mythical dedicated noob hit that 11 mil SP point faster. (Yeah, I know. "New players, lol")
I stopped buying boosters of any sort. All I see in Omega Boosters is new shiny thing for other people to buy that keeps the game funded and me playing for free.
