Please add one low slot to the standard. Those gallente scum get three low slots on their militia frame. While we get one on our standard. I can't armor tank on one low!

Or more built in armor on the suit, like Amarr should typically have, right?
Or a high armor bonus or resist.
I guess right now it looks like Gal are better armor tankers with 3 slots. Especially if you wanna run a rep

I sincerely hate the person who decided Amarr should be dual tankers in Dust. If you're going to make us the slowest, then give us the most armor. From the base values it would be nice if say they took away half the shields and put it in armor, so 90 shield 270 armor base value. If they did that then I could live with the gimped module slots. |

I wouldn't mind if they swapped it out...
Because I find myself shield tanking on my amarr standard.

I took the design for amarr armot to be that the armor is a hard point, set in stone thing and then you have the high slots to be versatile with either more shields or damage mods or scanning etc.
Where as Gallente are versatile with their armor fits even to the point of not having more armor for the sake of speed mods et al.
Think about it. Amarr uaving more low slots means other mods like speed mods. Amarr are supposed to be slower and shoot from medium range with lasers. Gallente are short range and either tank with armor or get up close fast. |

Amarr really needs to be redone to be armor focused, this even armor and shield stuff is really annoying. hell take away 75 shield give us 50 armor plus rearrange that slots to have more low slots.
Generally i'm not one to cry about this stuff but since i played EVE for a while before i started Dust the idea of Amarr having such weak armor is sicken. |

Amarr suit's get naturally more CPU and PG then the other racial suit's and sacrifice 1 slot generally for it... so you can fit better modules in the slot's you have...
Most suit''s people have are running with a CPU or PG expansion module on their suit to fit everything. |

amarr damage tank with a side of armour, you can still get about 800ehp with tripple damage mods and still have a local armour rep and hive. |

Have you looked into Amarr story? They have the Khanid bloodlines in Amarr... And they are shield/missile based ship's...
Amarr are one of the true dual tankers in EVE right now... that's just story and how it is in the EVE universe...
Armor tanking Amarr is an ancient appearance of what the Amarrian's are now.... They kinda do everything from drone specialties, to shield to armor.... from lasers to missiles... |

Armor tanking Amarr is an ancient appearance compared to what the Amarrian's are now.... They kinda do everything from drone specialties, to shield to armor.... from lasers to missiles... The only Khanid ship you'd ever seriously shield tank is the Curse, and that's because it's a EWAR ship and all EWAR ships have plenty of mids (the shield tanking slot in EVE).
I have been able to shield tank a few Amarr ships, like the Omen and the Arbitrator (again, EWAR), but no, they are not "one of true dual tankers in EVE." Sure, you can shoehorn any sort of tank onto any hull, but that doesn't mean it'll be effective or the best choice.
TL;DR : Khanid are Armor/Missile and the Amarr are overwhelmingly armor focused, save a couple of hulls. All of their tank bonuses are armor, be it damage resistance, armor rep amount, or buffer. |

Indeed this is true. I have never seen a well ranked shield fit on battleclinic for a shield tanked amarr ship.
Only reason Amarr and Gallente ships are so desired for PvP fleets is because of the armour. |

Interesting concept. The logi is already armor-weighted of course (120/180 I think). I wouldn't be averse to adding/moving slots on the low end though as per OP, because it is a bit restrictive when you have NO low slots (just as it's awkward to have no high slots like the Gallente).
We already pay for the lost "slot" in comparison to other assaults by have more pg/cpu though... theoretically for scramblers I guess. Maybe you could make a case for the Amarr Medium frame (not assault) getting extra slots, but having less PG/CPU than the assault (as the Amarr medium frame gets no laser bonus like the assault). |

Gallente standard has 0 highs, you can't even use a damage mod with it, which is the only reason to use Gallente over Minmitar apparently. |

Amazing Idea, make the assault variant more armor intensive. So if you want to dual tank use the medium frame, and if you want to get your laser on use the armor oriented assault.

It is. I also felt it weird at first but the more I played the more it made sense. The Amarr assault suit is perfect as it is now. Amarr doctrine is about staying power, about presence and massive firepower, not about mobility or versatility. All this perfectly translate to the suit as it is now. No, having more armor than shields wont help you stay in the fight more because once your armor is damaged you are crippled. A balance between armor and shield, on the other hand, allows you to witstamd damage over time as well as provide buffer for critical situations. Those high slots are besy suited for damage mods, which our fittimgs stats allow, making for a deadly combatant. Add to it scramblers or LRs and thats what Amarr is about.
The gallenteans were always masters of the Armor, but we are masters of resilience and our suits withstand more punishment than theirs.
If you want more slots and the versatility it brings just switch races. If you want armor focused suits, the Gallente suits are there. Makimg the Amarr suits a copy of the Gallente ones is a bad move imo, I love them as they are, if you domt your desired option already exists. Go, and let the True Chosen be.
