Swarms are useless right now. Especially since they inexplicably lose there their lock on sometimes, leaving the Swarm user a sitting duck.

-I use an Advanced dropsuit, basic. -I use Proto FG. Kaalakiota (got it 2 days ago) -I dont have a corp nor squad to play.
The tankers i see they do the best when im around are ones calles Frost Byte and the other one has a long a** name like: NINJAROBOT....... and more words. Weird dude.But he went 35+ kills in 2 skirmish matches in a row , no deaths. |

You need to calm the spazzy out, I didnt say the update was a nerf, but to me it doesnt sound like a buff either, increasing ROF (we will see how that works out with the lock on increase) at the expense of ammo sounds like a crap trade off.
If your running SL you will know your never rapid firing at a blaster HAV or hitting red line HAV consecutively as they pull behind a hill or whatever and it takes time and attrition to get anywhere with them.
If anything this update will make smoking LLAV a tad easier, but any good HAV will still be in the SAME situation as before. Also gone are the days of smoking a CRU when your bored, they said nothing how the ammo will affect nano clusters, I guess we just get shafted on that account too. Funny how this ROF change plays into the hands of active HAV module changes, but I guess your QQ clouded your vision on that one.
FG are way more powerful than SL, they arent getting shafted out of the deal, this whole update reeks of a stealth change to make SL deal with LAV/DS and let the FG terrorise as before. Ive put my sp into proto SL I can tell you from experiance it isnt the end all weapon HAV running bitches like to make out.

Firstly your missing the point, PRO AV should do a number on a Madrugar, its on a different tech level, secondly how does your maddy do against, say, Dren swarm launchers? I dont imagine you lose sleep over that ****, think thats balanced? You think your maddy and some dude with a std SL is on an even keel?
You started this thread because of the change to SL, but arguing about weapons on different tiers (and in your example) is silly, because maddys die easier to SL that is by design. Hell i would compromise with ya, give SL a shield dmg buff and nerf its exp damage and **** maybe were both happy. |

I don't get as many kills but I can go multiple games without dying easily even in the presence of 5-6 guys going swarms.
Forge gunners though... typically force me to recall my tank once I get it safe they just hurt too damn much and most of the good forge gunners are nested proper. |

I swear, assaults want the railgun to be no better than a sniper rifle, blaster no better than a GEK, and missile turrets no better than the mass driver.
We don't have homing turrets either. AV has the swarm and AV grenades. Both are devastating to armor. Forge guns have a +10% bonus against armor, too. Why, I don't have a clue.

When i say UP i should defined what i meant more... They seem to be the least likely of the AV weapons too finish off HAVs. This is most likely the reason for the buff. I know the SL buff is obviously overkill. But they can't reach the target before most av nades or FGs do. |

Well he was using a Missile Turret on Heavily Armored tank. By the way, the first game might had been the case the enemy was not prepared for a tank.MIGHT have, i saw a lot of AVs but ok, it IS a possibility that there were 10+ players with NONA Good AV whatsoever.
But the second game he got a 35 - 0 game, i was in the other team with My Proto Forge guns and the support of 2 ADV swarm launchers... : / I spent a good 10 minutes shooting at dem tank, and never killed it..... (of course he ran off, hid , regen , came back)

Why are people saying the swarms are getting a nerf? do you guys even read? with the buff you can effectivly sling over 6k damage in no time at all, barely over 4 seconds, you can alreadyreload more than twice as fast as a HMG before you can launch again (4 seconds). You are gaining ammo but losing the amount you can hold in one clip. This can't be justified in any way. |
