if it used to win matches, it's cheating.

this is not a "passive" glitch or bug like the armor rep on HAV's. This is a glitch that's being repeated to create an exploit. Created "actively" to seemingly OHK people.

idk - the problem I see is that this is a F2P game - not everyone is paying. If CCP can simply stop the cheat from happening isnt' that enough?

But then again - they tend to fix things slowly - so I'm on the fence.

Thing is, that this "exploit" is available to everyone....anyone can reproduce it..... so it is not truly a "cheat" but exploiting a "glitch" as you stated indeed

the problem is I've spent money on this game, and as a customer my gaming experience is ****, for want of a better word, thanks to people exploiting.

The bigger problem that people don't seem to realize or just ignore, is that what if people are using AUR on their suits? Only to die by this exploit. This exploit is literally costing people money if they had AUR on their suits.

Could they have died differently? Sure! But dying by someone who's exploiting is not the same!

If everyone can do it, you'll be seeing it more often. Thing is, not everyone knows, and not everyone is doing it.

Or... CCP could just fix the exploit. Just a thought.

more people know about it than actually do it, some of us have standards. I was approached perhaps a cpl weeks ago asking me to do a video of the exploit, but refused due to not wanting a bunch of people doing it and me being at fault

Learn from goons. Want something fixed? Then have everyone do it!! They may not listen, but they do like graph ****. When that graph and statistics has a big spread. They get groovy with fixes.

Many people know it, they just feel dirty abusing it. Honestly it's not that great outside of the city. It's meant for a very specific role, and that's the one it's used for, city domination. Where 9.3 sprint, 400+ stamina, 500+ ehp, and 400+ damage a hit along with tons of places to run around corners and such and leave enemy sight small enough you don't have enough time to finish him before he rapid fires 2-5 melee's, and congested enough that getting multiple firing lanes to bring him down before he takes down your whole squad is unlikely at best.

Actually. When goons figured out how to get unlimited OB strikes in Chromosome, they didn't tell anyone how to do it, till after they got CCP to fix it. Then GimbleB released his video of them demonstrating it.

the resource in this case is a glitch, an unintended error in the code thqat produces an effect contrary to its design

and exploiting a glitch is cheating

exploiting a mechanic is not

with that mentality... anything that is available to everyone to use... such as this EXPLOIT.. would be cheating, which is untrue.

ANYONE can easily use this..... and even by ACCIDENT.... so to say cheating...is stretching things

Wow, EoN is sure butthurt beyond belief with the melee exploit.

Although you guys seem to blame any kind of loss on anything you can. If it's not melee exploits, it's flaylocks, contact nades, MD, explosives... etc etc etc.

Ironically enough you never mention the AR, which is without a doubt the most easy to use and OP weapon in the game.

EoN won't be happy until every last player uses nothing but AR's and plays exactly like they want. I'm just curious to see what they will QQ about if they get beat, or annoyed, even when everybody plays to their standards.

I don't care about the semantics of the situation, whether people want to call it cheating or not.

It's clearly abusing something that was unintended and completely breaks the game.

There are rules about the use of exploits designed for situations exactly like this. Even if you didn't read the EULA, you did agree to it and that makes you subject for getting banned.
