What do you think about AV vs Vehicle... before we get 1.5, i want to CCP to know what the player base wants....

Isn't it obvious? AV grenades are so effective that they eliminate the point of speccing into a light slot AV weapon. Proximity mines are underpowered and invisible swarms need to be addressed. Not sure what to do about forge guns quite yet. Draw distance would need to be improved before a proper assessment can be made. |

Please- people that are not specced into Vehicles, don't even bother replying here... AV grenades and swarms obviously do too much damage. Proxy mines should get the AV grenade damage, and AV grenades should be used as they're intended, to chase away vehicles, rather than solo them.
Swarm damage should be reduced by 10%, as well as like a few people have said on here, shouldn't be able to instantly do a 180 degree turn. |

Depends on the vehicle you use. Dropships are wasted by forge guns a bit fast. Tanks have it rough with swarms/nades. LAV's just have to worry blaster turrets and the occasional unmanned rail turrets.
Though there is a question of how much of this is by design and how much is OP... |

TBH, an ishyukone assault forgegun is doing 1900 damage in 1.8 seconds.... and even more than 1900 with dmg mods.... thats just dam op- so its approximately 1000 dmg per second...

AV nades do over 2000 dmg, they can be spammed like hell, ishyukone AFG doing over 1000 dmg per second, swarms doing over 4000 dmg to armor tanks per swarm... where in the world did you get AV is fine? |

Once proto tank are released, it will be interesting to see how things are balanced. I'm a forge gunner and I welcome the challenge. |

If the infantry ran all the way up to your vehicle he deserves the kill.
If you were where you weren't supposed to be, you deserve to die.
AV nades are fine. |

AV grenades are the most powerful AV weapon, they also don't have any negative aspect that i see, they allow the user to be efficient in both anti-infantry and anti-vehicle roles, completely ignoring the games style of "in order to gain, you must sacrifice".
there are no penalties when working with AV grenades, they are used as primary AV weapons as seen in hitman's bias and ignorant video showing how easy it is to kill a tank solo.
he put very little effort into killing that sica, he literally just places down a nanohive and just spams away with av nades, yeah that took some real skill (yes the driver we all admit was stupid) and then he has the Gaul to infer that tank drivers should get anti-av players in their turrets instead of regular infantry players, tankers NEVER have the ability to chose who gets in their turrets and who doesn't, we don't even have the ability to kick people out when they aren't of any use or are needed outside, he clearly demonstrates his complete lack f knowledge on tanks as a whole. |

I think the only thing that was surprising was that I got 3 kills out of it. |

Swarm Launchers are a good start.. considering they scale better than any other weapon in the game so far and drastically outclass any other av option for killing HAV's..
thats prertty much it. standard swarm launchers are.. well standard av, makes sense for dps. advanced starts getting hard to survive even a single guy shooting you. Proto = a dead tank if the single guy using them has a brain. if more than one you may as well have just lit the isk on fire and stayed in the redline for all the use you will be. |

I personally think AV grenades and swam launchers are pretty balance right now. As true tanker~ with all the good mods, turret and tanks are good enough for me to survive all those basic AV and swam launchers ~ dont get me wrong ! Im not saying I have those proto tank that give me 6000+ armor or shield and super fast repair mod~ what really bare me out most of the bad situation is the taking skill I developed in battlefield 3~ which include block peeking, map awareness, good gunners and most importantly ~ knowing when to retreat. (RivalxFactor know way more tanking skill than I do~ check out his bf3 channel if you like )

The Charge Time is fine. It's an "Assault Variant" after all. Damage should be reduced to account for RoF, less than Basic. Not being able to "Hold" a charge is no excuse. Play "Taps" like a "Pro" & see why AFG is simply a "Win-Button" |

It's not a "Bad Reply"....your English is fine. The problem I have with this is that we cannot compare DUST 514 & Battlefield 3 Tanking. 1st & foremost we pay excessive ISK prices vs reward gains. In BF3 there is no real sense of Loss b/c there is no Investment. You may simply Respawn & wait 10-20 Seconds for another. Also "Countermeasures".....Smoke, IR Scopes, constant AoE Scan, LOL Reactive Armor, HMG w/o Cooldown, Instagib Turret (Even Splash), it's just.....there is no comparison.
Also, I can hop out w/ a Repair Tool SOLO & keep my Tank repped up against at least 2 AVers or 1 Tank/APC/Jet/Heli. Passive HP Regen surely is better than even the current Shield HAVs as you are in & out of Combat Engagements with great Frequency. If you have just 1 Teammate Rep you.....you become almost impervious to Damage. 2nd Gunner w/ Assist Perks complementing Main Perks, & Rep Tool "Just in case...." makes an impervious FREE "Death Machine".
I rarely see my only "Counter" (C4) really bother me w/ Scanner....& that's when Solo. If someone "Jacks" the Tank, should I hop out to Rep, it's not a "Loss".....just a D**K move. But forget about DUST "Tanks".....they are a "Punished Coffin on Wheels"........ Anyone asking for Driver & Gunner "Separation" and "AMMO Cost" are ignorant & likely do not play other Games to realize their ignorance
PS: I hope you are not referring to "Good Gunners" as in "Small Turrets"..... If so, then & only then, would your Post be "Bad" |
