swarms and forge guns, specifically when they hide beyond the render distance (they can see farther than tanks due to tanks rendering farther away than infantry)
they nuke you and they and there projectiles are invisable to everyone.
CCP the most OP AV weapon is render distance, fix it |

Tell me how I could have avoided this situation: I am deep in my redline, calling in my tank, someone in LLAV sees that I am calling in a tank so he rushes into the redline with lai dai packed nades and kills my tank before I can get into it. I admit he deserves the kill by coming to suicide himself in the redline but I still think it is bs, I don't deserve to lose a tank like that. |

Anyone asking for Driver & Gunner "Separation" and "AMMO Cost" are ignorant & likely do not play other Games to realize their ignorance PS: I hope you are not referring to "Good Gunners" as in "Small Turrets"..... If so, then & only then, would your Post be "Bad"
Well to be be fair you also have to mention how ridiculously easy tanks are to destroy in BF3. Mines instant kill. 2 RPGs (well placed mind you). Tracking Javelins. Rep tool. C4. Jihad jeeps. Point being you really have to learn how to survive in a BF3 tank it's not easy. Granted there are counter measures but still you die really really fast so I think his point on tactics is valid.
One thing is, what are we rebalancing towards? Pub matches? AV and price outpace tankers so much that only the best really can use these and make a decent profit. PC? Here I think tanks are much much more balanced in terms of price. AV may still have an advantage but with organized teams and Clone price it's a lot harder to take out tanks alone. |

AV is working as intended; properly skilled Tankers are rarely killed by child toys. May I ad that we have proto AV weaponry and no ADV or Proto tanks; May I ad even further that with the pilot suit coming taks and all vehicles for that matter will be much much mre lethal than they already are. I have forge gunnnery 5 and spec 3 and I've gone against tankers that shrug it off like if it was a preeschooler hitting a car with his plain fist.
After youve invested 18 million skill points into vehicles only and have not branched out into any other areas and still die then you can say AV is OP.
I know too many tanker who have actually had their sp invested into these beasties and need a whole team to be taken out
so chill. It's a standard tank. Asking for nerf or buff now will only unbalance things when adv and proto vehicles come out |

Crutch swarms and AV nades
AV nades do more damage than AV mines - wtf? swap the damage and that is fixed
AV nades should lose the homing crutch - if you cant hit that tank without needing the homing crutch to make up for your lack of aim then it shouldnt hit simple as, if the AV nade misses 2seconds fuse then it dissappears, AV nade blows up on contact with vehicle thus requiring aim
1.Invisible missiles - Basically protects the user from being detected, once fixed we can find the user and kill em
2.Corner bending missiles - Around corners/cover, basically OP since cover is useless, once fixed cover is useful and they have to move to get a shot on to make sure the missiles hit
3.Insta locking - Can fire so many volleys in a short time, the lock on is too quick, if it was longer they would have to expose themseleves and thus take a risk instead of lol now you see me now you dont and i just fire a volley at you
4.Locking through objects - Once again you may be able to see a tiny corner of the tank which then reveals the big red square for you to lock on to, problem is the big red square is through 5ft of concrete so you really shouldnt be able to lock on to it, when fixed they have to be able to see the square and thus expose themseleves and take a risk
5.Maintaining lock - Now you can maintain lock even when you are not looking at the target, you can lock on then look up so when you fire the missiles it goes over the cover you are using and can still hit the vehicle, frankly as soon as you look away you should lose lock so once again they have to be able to see the vehicle and lock on and thus expose themselves so they have to take a risk
6.Bunny hopping - You can lock on and fire when bunny hopping, try that with a FG and you miss the vast majority of the time, frankly you shouldnt be able to jump around and even get a lock thus they have to expose themselevs and take a risk but also you have a damn missile on your shoulder
7.No skill - Missiles do all the work, you dont have to aim or even maintain lock on for the missiles to hit, if you have to maintain the lock that would be harder but also it means they have to maintain the lock and keep aiming until they hit and put in some risk
7a.Fire & forget - Same thing as no skill, missiles do all the work and you can go back to shooting as your missiles fly through the air to the target, now just imagaine like above you had to maintain lock on for the missiles to hit or even as soon as you swap away from the SL your missiles blow up so the player has to risk again to make sure its on target
FG does more damage than a large vehicle mounted railgun, thats my only problem with it other than that it requires aim to use |

what if its a blaster tank and you kill the guy 40m's away and he still manages to kill you with laidai packed av nades blasters need close range to deal with targets but that also means getting into av nade range unfortunalty at times on some maps/layouts. |

Read some of the suggestions in this thread...they're beyond laughable. To ask swarm homing to be removed for example is beyond clownish.
Also, most vehicle users conveniently forget that they aren't even driving proto tanks...so OF COURSE proto AV weapons hurt them...as they should.
My proto scrambler pistol also hurts standard suits...I don't see them constantly whine about it. |

Proto Av is the OP part, the vehicle in this game are not standard they come in tires, yes it says STD when you point to a gunnlogi but wtf is an Enforcer tank.? it says enforcer when you point to it.. so its not STD but its not Prototype and nor is is ADV.... same with LLAV, and scout LAV and logi Dropship and assault DS... Their not gonna add no dam prototype dropship or LAV... why is a fking ishyukone AFS doing 2000+ dmg in 1.8 seconds, why are AV nades the primary AV weapon for most people... why are swarms doing 4000 dmg to poor armor tanks and locking on in half a second... dude you can fking solo madrugar with milita swarm and packed av nades, thats just god dam sad.. |

OK I run mostly a madruger blaster and part time Swarms, on my tank the most valuable module is my scanner it saved my tank more times than anything else. The best way to drive a tank is to support your team even better if your in a squad that's calling out threats. Tankers complaining that tanks are useless I think you possibly have the wrong idea of what a tank should be able to do, they were never intended as i win buttons playing king of the hill. With a bad team tanks are incredibly hard to keep from being blown up as you have no support however on a good team you can bulldoze anything in your path. As for proto AV yeah it hits hard and yeah we don't have the marauders atm bit unfair but i'm not complaining because even if they were available I would still probably still be running the madrugar as its nice and cheap for pub matches and overall fairly good at what it does. Would say though I do feel forge guns do a little too much damage to Armour tanks considering shield tanks don't have to worry as much about swarms, plasma cannons, av grenades pretty much most of the av weapons. |

Plasma cannons are way too slow and weak to be effective AV weapons. Vehicles are overpriced. Large missiles are terrible at everything and can't hit AVers Armor HAVs are favored over shield HAVs, despite all useful AV weapons being anti-armor. (player stupidity) |
