I worked hard to earn mine and to have some newbie better known as captain BUTTHURT straight out of the academy try and get it taken away can suck it. This is not COD BF or any other lame ass FPS. This is grind country baby and I have grinded my way thru a lot of beatdowns to get were I am at. So captain BUTTHURT earn your freakin stripes like the rest of us or GTFA.

I find it funny when they talk about nerfs cause the death of Dust when in fact they themselves probably causing it by making people rage quit over proto stopping. you can say HTFU as much as you want, skill will only get you so far when you're facing people with twice as much eHP as you when you're fresh out of the academy.

I've used it before, but never have i done that good. What's your secret? The best i did in a match with you was go 3-0 with my trusty ADS.

My secret is aiming via strafing instead of turning. Also, i always fire a charged shot first and follow with 3 later to finish. My skill set also really helps.

If they pass they keep playing and most make a good addition to the community but if they dont they come in forums to QQ and leave the game when it is not molded to fit their needs. I accept protos in pub matches. I personally don't like them but thats why I introduce them to the high end of a building with remote explosives. P.S. I hate when they do that to me in my proto

We grinded for the isk and sp to use em so should you. I have cheap fits to when I need to conserve isk and I can stomp protos with it too. Just toughen up and welcome to new eden.

I have no problem if anyone wants to use their protogear, but to be honest using it non-stop at this time in the lifecycle of DUST514 where we do not have a proper matchmaking system thus worsening this games condition everytime you protostomp a new player is just irresponsible.

Not everyone have BILLIONS of ISK available to use Prototype equipment none stop.. match after match..I hardly can afford a "good" ADV suit in regular basics.( 90,000 isk )

It is the lopsided matchmaking of a premade proto team of leet players getting matched with solo, not yet geared premade squads or not so leet geared newer players in squads. When there isn't a premade proto squad on then the matches play more evenly and are actually fun. Anyone that wants to keep it the way it is is going to find themselves in a bargain bin game with the two or three players still playing.

I'm with you on this. i grind-ed for hours to get my proto level equipment and no one is taking that away from me, but i mostly side with proto being used only for PC. the only time i bring out my proto gear in a pub match is when i need to litter the game with uplinks. its not worth losing a suit in a pub match or just being so OP in one either. also, if someone wants to use proto gear in a pub match, I'm fine with that too. they earned the right to use that gear in whatever match they want. just know that people like me, love going after proto users in pub matches and taking them down with my exile

People's natural base FPS skill level is never going to change no matter how much SP they earn, to those who are fine with running standard all day you get all of my applause, but I'm just saying we should strongly consider shortening the gap between basic and advanced equipment to make it easier on new players. The strength of Prototype would be fine in a game that was a little more openworldly such as the up coming game, destiny, but right now Dust does not have enough of an MMO architecture to make it viable.

I don't mind proto in pub matches anymore, ever since I've learned how to drive. If I can't dent your armor, I can at least dent your wallet. I see pub matches as casual play, and an analogy would be playing backyard football. When someone comes in wearing full proto it's like bringing full padding to a casual game. Yeah you may have the skills, and no one can tell you not to be safe, but it shifts the whole match heavily in your favor whether you are a better player or not. We need some real casual modes like PVE. I blame pub stomping less on the people who run proto and more on CCP who need to make more casual game modes.

I do have proto stuff it just costs too much to run it regularly, I assume the people running proto are the people involved in PC and the big corps who have lots of iskies. If there was a market there wouldn't be an issue because I have a feeling everyone would have enough money to run proto, Ive got a bunch of balacs I can sell :)

Use whatever you want, whenever you want or however frequently you want to. If you earn it then you deserve to be rewarded for your grinding. There is no logical argument against this IMO. Topic: Matchmaking: How do we fix the "proto-stomping problem"? Easiest thing I can think of is to allow a filter in your search preferences that allows you to enter games with STD, ADV, or prototype equipment. For example, if you just graduate academy then choose STD so that you only play with people using STD equipment. This is fair to blueberries and veterans and would even the playing field pretty quickly I think. I think the problem is people mix up the two topics and argue on different grounds. Is it really this easy to fix or am I just forgetting some embarrassingly obvious detail that makes this unfair?
