Too bad they'll just ignore you like always.
When an entity has resistance issues about real transparency its because they have nothing good going on behind the scenes. They're either trying to hide coming failures or else they would share information that would boost peoples faith in them.
If transparency is not an option for CCP, this means that internally failure IS an option for them. And that should be a concerning prospect for anyone who had invested time, or hope into this game. |

It makes me slightly sad that a player has to tell CCP how to do thier jobs since they are getting paid to think the things you wrote in that post.
Thank for you keeping it real. <3 |

They thought about them. They just thought better than to do them. Which is an unfortunate thought. For them.

personally I'd be pissed if I had to keep re-working on the same thing for years making no progress.

Alright, thats a fair point lets be honest if you remotely care for the success of this game,. i'm looking at you CCP.
When CCP released the stats on the new suits a good 3 weeks prior to uprising, it took :\ 15 mins for the community to realise how lol OP Caldari Logi was, still 3 weeks before 5-14.
Same thing happened for the flaylock,. how many Commando suit your seeing nowadays on the battlefield?
It only required a bit of reading comprehension.
At the same time, you start thinking, probably more if you put alot of work for the game (IWS). If you add it all up, when the same folks that first pointed out OP stuff talks doom and gloom about the game you send a letter to CCP.
Bad comprehension of a FPS balance + below average contents = 6.0 (I'm polite)
The first part was avoidable, it was CCPs mistakes for not listening to the community
The solution at this point is "What would Georges Costanza do?"

If CCP actually wants to do this right then they can start with a simple schedule for how information gets released to the public
- Within the first 2 weeks of content lock, dev blogs are released accounting for the major changes that will be taking place in the upcoming patch. Any change to player assets will have the stats listed out. - The beginning of the 3rd week will see the release of the full patch notes - The third and fourth week will be a mix of discussing possibilities for issues with the new changes as well as providing information on general things that will be going into the next patch.
And for god's sake, use the community team properly. They should be the bloodhounds for CCP marketing to understand what trends are taking place with their customers. They should be reporting to the team what hot-button topics would be good for the developers to give some feedback on so the community feels like they are being listened to. They should also be setting up and managing a FAQ (or in this case, FAQQ) section that shows what the major topics are and the developer responses are to them.
Something like this:
Issue: Hit detection not registering for X% of fired shots
Developer Note: We are currently looking into this. Right now, we think that it is being caused by ___________ and we will require some further time to see what the root issue is.
Priority: High Timeline: TBD based upon finding root cause _____________________________
Issue: Unfinished racial suits
Developer Response: We are currently waiting on __________ and ___________ to be finished so that we can begin testing on our internal server. Main issue is making ____________ worthwhile to give diversity and reason for using different suits
Priority: Medium Timeline: Expected late Q4 2013. Dependent upon internal testing
As a professional marketer, I fail to understand how simple stuff like this is overlooked by the marketing and PR team in CCP. Given the state of things, Im surprised the CMO still has his job.

Holding out hope for 1.4, it will be the litmus test of the new release cycles.
If all goes well 1.5 should be the first release largely presided over by CCP Flying Scotsman, I have faith in his ability to get things on track.
To any CCP reading this, I'd like to reiterate the CPM statement; we're here because we want the game to succeed. Let us help you figure some of this stuff out! |

YOU MEAN A ROADMAP.
Like SOE and Planetside 2! Yes it would be good for ccp to do alot of things like ps2 has, but will they? No.
They seem to not care what anyone has done before. That is why they have failed so many times with there rediculous systems.

A bullet pointed roadmap has never been CCP's style. They throw goals on the table and try to pursue them but they always been vague goals mostly containing 'experiences' they want to create and rarely the features that makes that experience possible. Rarely has it ever included Gun X, Ship Y, Map Z which allows those content to get done and done proper, there have been plenty canceled ship classes before and thank god those were not on the roadmap you have fishing and moaning players asking where'd did those squadron frigates go? where the corvettes? Where's my MTAC? As long as CCP keeps it mostly vague and under the stamp of Soon(tm) they can get away with quite a bit of things without over upsetting the players. Though some features are constantly still asked for by the CSM/CPM despite realization of the feature not being feasible at the time. The most accurate maps you are going to get from CCP are probably... half life of a patch cycle. So in our case 4 week roadmap is the most accurate you're going to get and at that point might as well show you guys the patch notes which unfortunately just got some trimming because of QA.
This is one of many massive complaints about SOE's own roadmaps and its beginning to start topping their complaint lists. Where's this feature? Why was the negatively voted roadmap item done first or at all? Why was this delayed? What did you guys worked on that feature it wasn't on the roadmap at all? Had SOE done it eve style people would be asking about the flying aircraft carriers right now instead of bitching when's the next map. |

Yes, and SOONGäó has worked out so well for DUST hasnt it?
CCP doesnt need to list out or respond to every single complaint or request but there are some that are being brought up over and over and over again by players and they are valid concerns. I fail to see how a FAQ section with at least noted issues and progress notes would constitute some sort of 'Road Map'. There is a point where a company has to realize that its SOP is failing its good will with its customers and something must be changed. The worst thing a company can do is have the attitude that 'if we build it, they will come'
Players have been crying for more communication on what is happening since the start and the absence of that has pushed many away. CCP needs to decide whether they want this to be a niche game that serves mostly players who are interested in EVE or a mass market FPS that appeals to everyone whether they have ties to EVE or not. Much of the FPS community is very tightly knit. There are many multi-game clans that decide what they are going to play as a group. Once they have given up on a game, the majority follow their friends that they have bonds with to a new game. This, in turn, causing other competitive clans to follow suit as they enjoy the competition of high talent gamers. With this, you will see many of the corps that have been involved in PC from the start leave the game. Many of them right now can no longer field a team of 16 for PC matches because the players are so burnt out or could care less.
What some people fail to see is that many of those players have been trying to save this game from the beginning but, because it has fallen on deaf ears, they just gave up.
