Being a Logi doesn't mean you have to run reps. My fittings are almost all Injector, Hives, Uplinks. Uplinks gain me at least 500 WP in Dom games. Hives keep my M1s stocked as well as my teammates. Injector picks up teammates when enemies murder taxi. Plus, I can still be a decent threat most of the game instead of being stuck chasing fatties that are too stubborn to run rep modules. I get more WP, can help the team more with weapon and equipment support, and its overall more fun for me.
When you see 47 uplinks on the objective in Dom and nanohives scattered all over, understand that those two things will win you the game. Wins > stats. |

Logis not doing their jobs? Guess it was all you assaults and scouts who put down those dozens of uplinks and nanohives painting a picture of blue visible from space.
And after the nerf, I need to use my Gal Adv Logi to put down the uplinks since I'm short on CPU on my Cal Logi. Not to mention that most people would have apoplexy at a Cal Logi laying down uplinks and nanohives... |

I'm a Cal Logi, sure I had to drop my Dovall to maintain decent links, hives and a rep tool, but I never should have been able to fit it to start with, now if I could just survive a single M1 blast I might still be useful. |

I don't really understand why explosives are non-revivable. You'd think getting riddled with bullets or being hit by a vehicle moving at 100 km/hr would kill you just as dead as a grenade, yet you can still be picked up from those.... |

Here's how I see it. Nobody let's me do my job besides almost dead people and heavies (I can catch up to them). But I use a MD, a ASCR, or an SMG when I'm logi. You can't blame me for getting the first 3 kills just because I had no help and everyone's faster than me. I cannot keep up with the assault class. Forgive me for killing people. I only be a logi when I can. But when I can't, I'm just an assault with no sidearm and a repair tool. |

What is a logi's job? Support last time i checked,this can be done in other ways then healing.Just cause the community want logis to do one thing doesn't make it their job.Every suit other than heavy can carry repair tool,nanohives etc its not logi only.If you want health you have options used them because i spent my sp and isk on my suit and equipment.You want me to play your way start giving isk for all the suits i loose cause you can't kill. |

I'm a Caldari logi. It is hard for me to be a logi for my squad and team due to the fact that they run into battle, and start shooting the place up. I have never tried to go all out assault in my logi suits. For the past several days i have been trying different types of mods to maximize my suits potential. LOGIBROS ARE STILL HERE! We havent gone anywhere. We just need assault guys to slow down and for heavy's to stop yanking us into "hot spots" where we get mowed down because we are not invincible! |

Plenty! You need a line of drop uplinks in case one of your teammates dies in the redline, and of course, plenty of nanohives to keep the redline going... Also to replenish AV grenades when the enemy resorts to murder taxi'ing....

As for me, I want to, I really do! My KDR is crap and I only get maybe 5-10 kills a game because I spend most of the match dropping hives/links. It's just tough to justify spending the extra CPU/PG on a repper when I can:
A) Get the job done just as well with an armor hive

Here's a list of things reg players NEED to do for Logis to be able to be a bit more effective.
-VOIP in team channel
-when you see those yellow suits and you know damn well your armor has 1 less hp or more wait for him, he/she is most likely trying to catch up to you.
-Stay with your squad!
-Heavies when being healed take cover, else I'm just going to keep reviving you till you learn. it gives me more wp and helps me try to keep your suit up so YOU can defend me!
-When you need a heal and have asked for one through VOIP.. don't be the idiot that says "hey you heal me i'm over here" Tell me where you are and who you're talking to
-Move infront of your logis! I'm not capable of taking on a squad of 2 or more, that's your job.
Several times i will run an assault suit with a rep tool and heal people near objectives that have forgotten to heal up at a supply depot. Logis try out the support weapons like MD, Pcan, Flaylock, Flux. Your offensive role is similar to that of a heavies, to weaken enemy defenses for the frontliners all the while increasing your teams defenses.
Logi is a tricky role to fill, the good ones can be found doing 0-10 with 2-3k wp, the ones that perform offensively without playing their role do usually less than 1k wp.

Logis that can do both can get even more!
Personally, I run my logistics with nothing but CQC weaponry; Shotgun/SMG or Shotgun/Pistol because it forces me to stick with the team or if I am solo, I'm able to;
Clear out nests, taking down redberries, hacking CRU's, flanking uplinks I may not be able to reach and dropping my own so my team can spawn behind them, move into enemy territory to flux uplinks and put pressure on opponents, destroying enemy nano's and so on.
I drop rep nanos for snipers, for heavies and when defending a point I'll setup a triage station with nanos and use my rep tool from cover; they just have to come to me. If the point is in danger, I can provide backup with shotgun blasts to the dome.
I'm a 'Logistics', not a medic. My role is to think, plan and provide support; even if that 'support' means wrecking opponents. |

I'm one of the best logistics players in the game.
I'm just tired of being the only logistics player on the team, and the only forge, and the only hacker, and the only objective defender.
It's as if everyone on the team is an Assault with a nanohive and they just go from one objective to the next killing as many people as they can. But when a tank comes out and everyone starts using their militia AV gear, I have to be the one to destroy it with my forge. When we have no objectives, I have to be the one to drive across the map and hack the other objectives besides the next closest one.
Your dedicated logistics player is just always busy with other things. At least I am. Also, if you're not using an AR or another ammo depleting weapon (like the mass driver) carry a nanite injector or repair tool instead of a nanohive. And if you do decide to carry something, use it. |

There's more to it than just Logibros and Assault wannabes. I scout-Logi reasonably often. Hives and DUs in choice locations, one of each in both an overlooking fallback and a secure-ish area closer to the objective(s). Active Scanner for team intel and to better discover opportunities to speedhack a terminal then get out of there. In a push I'll be the one looking for the opening to get a quick hack in while everyone else makes with the shooting of the bullets. It's a logistics role even if it's more about taking independent action than hugging teammates.
Medi-Logi when you don't consistently run with heavies or armour-tankers you can vouch for I couldn't really advise. If you need something done properly you do it yourself. Being a force multiplier for a specific type of force additive requires that they both be there and are actually a value worth multiplying. Often with randoms you won't be boosting your force any more as a multiplier than you would just being an additive.
If you do consistently run with people you have faith in that changes completely. |

The problem with logi's comes down to move speed and hp imo.
Give me a ck.1 variant that swaps the light weapon for sidearm and give me the same base start hp as a basic suit with 0.2 more move speed and ill run around and logi all day. Even sneak in a few kills with an ishukone assault smg while im at it. |

Been true Logi since day one with over 16m Skill Points my AR is still sitting at level 3 Proficiency and level 3 Sharpshooter. The only other weapon I am skilled into is Swarm Launcher at level 3.
I carry Repair Tool and Nano Injector ALWAYS and I repair all teammates whether they are in my corp or not and whether I am still getting War Points or not. I always try and clear before I revive and I alternate between Nanohives and Drop Uplinks as needed.
Call me...or don't call me...whatever you want. But I will not feel bad.  |
