I think shields are kind of underpowered really. Armor gets more love than shields right now. Not to mention the increased use of flux grenades i've been seeing lately. All my suits are armor tanks.

That's a good point, I was actually thinking of a Sniper with an AR, but I could see a lot of people playing the distance game with a sniper rifle swarm launcher fit.

While you buff up the heavy suits, give me a sniper rifle that cant hit light and medium suits cause their sig is too small, but does a crapload of damage to heavies.

I agree about the militia gear, and since you mentioned it, Scanning should have some kind of WP benefit because it truly does enhance the team. Maybe 5 SP for every scanned kill while the scan is active... it would also make the 18 second scanner...

My only real opinions on the orbital strike issue is that the strike caller should not get credit for the kills, and the Pilot should get LP for every toon he kills on the ground.

It would be nice to get an indication of height when your looing at the masive blue blob of uplinks to choose from when you respawn. that way I can tell which uplink is on top of something.
