Shouldn't have been removed, it used to be fun logging into dust on the weekend and playing friendly prearranged CB's against other corps and then swapping gg's with each other in chat - when I left the game PC was a chore.

I haven't played for a long time but I remember the assault variant wasn't worth it because if you're a good heavy you won't be fighting at long range and the burst variant is practically a shotgun. Things might have changed since then though.
