Probably because they play a different gamemode/server/type than you do.
I always play pubs, always play skirmish, always play america. Never see any of these guys even though I know they play. However, I've always wanted to know how much people know about me seeing as I top the board 90% of the time, and my name is easy to recognise.

I'm neither active on these forums nor in game (due to a lack of a functioning PS3), but some players I have not seen were already posted i.e., Dust Fiend (same corp as my Logi), True Adamance, D Legendary Hero, IWS, and a few others.

I have only ever seen 1 CPM member in game and that was Heinrich Jagerblitzen (or however its spelt). Most of the people I see on here often but never see in game I assume just play in different timezones. Always seem to play against the same corps and people on the EU servers guess our numbers are low. |

Seen Django in alliance and once in battle where he 1 shot me with breach scambler pistol on my ADV minmatar assault with 390 shields and 177 armor.

As True Adamance said, I'm fighting in Amarr FW 98% of the time.
You may catch me in a pub rarely if I'm simply ISK grinding, or the bluedots fighting for the Amarr side are incompetent and have caused me to rage out and use pub matches to cool off. |

I literally -just- got the Charge Sniper Rifle yesterday and I've already got the reputation as a tower sniper (even though military training persuades me to snipe from places that don't show off my silhouette)
As far as me being on the forums but not in game, I'm in game frequently. You can find me in Faction Warfare, or in PC matches. If I'm not in either of those, I'm in orbit providing orbital support for my corporation. |

I've capped out my SP without fail every week since April. I can't claim that I play a lot MORE than needed to cap out every week though. As for not seeing me... -»\_(pâä)_/-» ...I have no idea when or what you play.
Of the rest of the list, I've personally seen:
Iadwar
Mobius Wyvern
Maken Tosch
(not necessarily recently, but I know I've seen them before)
in-game at least a few times.
Really though, all you'd need to not see a group of people is play different hours/days. I don't assume people I don't see don't play.
Even if you're on at the same time, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll wind up in the same matches. People opting exclusively for domination or skirmish would never see people that only play FW for example.
Or groups that FW solely in support of Caldari when another group only does Amarr could never see each other either.
No particularly complicated logic required to solve this mystery. |

I play only 2-3 days every 2 weeks. Its a lot to do with region too. I see a lot of people on that list, game after game after game.
