- SSD HD - Keep PS well ventilated - Use a wired connection - Re-install Dust every few months (or as necessary) - Reset PS when lag gets consistently bad - Turn down graphics. - Don't have a million chats. That's about it

Turn it off yourself if you don't like it. It smoothes out gameplay quite a bit, and is a core feature of almost any modern shooter. It is self balancing as every rifle benefits equally from it.

In Dust 514 players are able to form squads. Squads group players together in matches. Simply dividing total players by 2 will not work as long as players choose to play in squads.
