It's one thing to take away matchmaking allowing absolutely horrible players to be on my team but now that my strafe speed has been lowered this game is becoming ridiculous.
This game needs a Free-For-All gamemode. |

I'm about 1000 miles away from my PS3, this is the most fun i had with dust in a few months.
i kid, but not-dust is also a fun game.

You wanna talk about horrible experiences....lets see I've been randomly removed from six battles, have had 3 psn errors so far today and when I'm in battle the game will freeze for a couple mins and then go into a super speed mode where it catches back up, when it catches back up I'm usually dead or so far into the redline that I have no hope of escaping it. Still half way through to completing all those event quests but it's been a gawd dam struggle. |

It's one thing to remove academy noobs from the pubs I like to protostomp in, but now that I can't abuse strafing to dance through bullets I am starting to realize how mediocre I actually am in this game.
Give me free for all mode so there is a higher chance I can farm noobs in militia gear.

I watched you strafe a few feet back and forth in front of waves of 4-6 players the other day. I've never seen anything like it. I never once saw your shields go under 75% or so.
I think you finished the match 30-0.
One time you took down myself and another heavy and we didn't even touch you. You weren't even using cover. Just back and forth, it almost seemed like a pattern but who knows. |

Well you interpreted wrongly what I wrote.
The matchmaking change (implemented about 2 months ago or so) that removed from my pub matches the new players fresh out of the academy is no more. Going on about a week now matchmaking has been throwing the new players into matches with the veterans.
I want the new players fresh out of the academy to be taken out of the matches I play. The problem is that the new players do not know what they are doing and all they are doing is getting horribly stomped without really contributing anything to the match. It's not entirely their fault. If you're facing an entire squad of Carne Con Papas in an Acquisition match it takes some experience to know how to handle that; new players fresh out of the Academy can not handle that because they have not played the game long enough.
As for the strafing don't confuse me for the Minmatar. I run Gallente Assault pretty much all the time so I didn't have ridiculous strafing abilities to begin with. I want my movement and strafe speed back because it is ridiculous that changes constantly have to be made to accommodate those who simply will not adapt to the challenges this game brings.
I will adapt to the change in my movement and speed and I will continue to kick some a$$ in this game. Then in 3 or 4 months when another change is made because of a bunch of people complaining I will again adapt and continue to kick a$$.

you should also have seen him almost die to a frontline suit 1v1 in his assault mk.0

The counter is to shoot them until they stop moving. I never viewed strafing as a major issue in this game. I had no problem going up against most players in this game who used strafe as a CQC strategy. The players who could destroy me using the strafe strategy I always viewed them as simply being more skilled than I am as opposed to viewing them as if they were abusing some game mechanic and then demanding changes. Every a$$ whippin I received in CQC by a strafer was simply an opportunity for me to become better at countering that strategy. |

I can tell the difference between poor hit detection and being out-strafed by a player with a superior skillset - they are completely different experiences if you're paying attention. It's hard to argue with eliminating a technical exploit, but it's coming at a substantial price for the feel of the game.
Any word on whether there are framerate improvements coming down the line? Hoping all that sales talk about the benefits of powercore/tiericide weren't just so much self-inteterested kittenshit.

removal of footwork leaves these principles for infantry:
out ranging opponents infiltration high damage tanking HP outnumbering opponents flanking maneuvers jumping and shooting down
What happened to frontal assault?
We lost 90% effectiveness from using cover for frontal attacks. Strafing out from cover to shoot and strafing back behind cover takes longer than ttk.
If strafing out from behind cover is pointless now, then whoever has the most HP and weapon damage wins. That would be the people who run proto 24/7.
In fact, strafing is so much slower than ttk, that I predict that people will habituate to avoiding side movements altogether.
Removal of skilled footwork from the game has transferred the balance of the game toward what gear you use and what bonuses you have acquired and away from avatar agility.
In other words, if you're not certain that you overpower your opponent, avoid frontal assaults.

I am pretty sure with the fast strafing we had, people will just flock to the Assault MK.0. Fast strafing and enough tank, put a CR on and you're going to be the most 'skilled'
