Yes, it should be simpler. I don't think any of the player base really knows why voice doesn't have reasonable defaults. Maybe CCP just like convoluted menus.

+1 forever, every time this thread comes up, until the voice comms have sane defaults, and I no longer have to walk new players through how to set things up via a lengthy and tedious text chat. Hopefully someday.

Was getting disconnects today as well when activating voice in player-created (i.e. UVT-required) channels. Strangely, seemed to be happening with some channels and not others. Corp chat worked for me, FWIW.

passive SP not working for some since the TQ move is a known thing, fix it by making an alt, assign passive SP to the alt, then re-assign passive SP to your main char.
