can some one please, tell me how to make comms work.
if there is a detailed section in an manual online please link me to it.
if there isnt can someone give me clear instructions, because Im finding it extremely frustrating not being able to use comms and communicate with fellow squad members.
and can I also say. why, oh why, when comms are so important in a game like this, did you make it so hard to find them and use them???
Feedback too many things about the interface are too complicate, overly convoluted, it puts people off.
Thanks

4 hours later and 31 views.. and not a single person can explain how comms work in this game or point me to a manual that explains it?
is it really that hard? is it so hard to explain you cant be bothered?
ok so let me ask this.. why, are comms not opt out rather than opt in? I mean its such a simple, basic part of playing online..!!

On the in-game options menu on the first or second page there's an option to turn voice chat on or off. For some reason it's off by default - you need to turn it on. There's also a 'push to talk' option, I recommend turning that one off. |

don't forget to 'activate voice' as well when you move into your team/squad. Hit select, push DPad right then up/down and activate your voice on your squad/team. |

this is slightly mental.

Yes, it should be simpler.
I don't think any of the player base really knows why voice doesn't have reasonable defaults. Maybe CCP just like convoluted menus. |

It makes sense to me, you want to be able to look at your corp channel, team channel, other user created channels... But still able to talk in squad channel without the voice leaping from channel to channel. That's why you just manually activate it. It makes better sense with the universal transmitter installed and enabled. |

I have my turtle beach earforce PX3 working and it says it is activated on Dust514, but nobidy can hear me.
What am I doing wrong? It is activated in the game options and it works with other games (LBP2, BF3, etc). |

Voice settings = Voice ON, Push-To-Talk OFF
After this, you need to join the channel you want by selecting the channel and pressing X, choose Activate Voice from the drop-down list. If you have voice on in the channel, you should see a little "speaker" icon next to your name in the channel. |
