You need a team that can secure them. If you can't secure them, keep vehicles away from them. Or feed the turret gunner your clone in a can for an easy kill, it's all good.

Both terms are accurate and common place in the mentioning of such weapons in their real world existence. Material is just as fitting as sometimes you're shooting through someone's house, or personal car for example.
