Only proto got nerfed last I checked, but it also got more ammo? And the std and advance straight up got buffed, to make them viable, hence the nerf at pro. I don't see how you can turn all that into a nerf of the entire weapon class.

FYI Minjas have been using proto knives to OHK untanked heavies for a very long time now. We are just able to take on the tanked heavies too, if they let us get that close.
