164. Please help me to not gimp my build in 1.8! - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I am not a fan of the CR in CQC. I have recently switched to the ScR, which I see you already carry. The shotty would be an excellent addition, especially with the SMG. You could hide in a corner, hit the red with the shotgun, and clean up with ...

Hang out in the Barbershop, located in the locker room (see link in sig). Its where the scouts, new and vet alike, hang out. I can't vouch for its safety however. There have been stabbings.

167. Help with nova knives - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
You can't join 2 corps, but if you have an alt you use, you could maybe go that route. There are some benefits to being in a squad, other than shared sight with other scouts. If there are orders, like defending a person, or objective, any action...

170. Help with nova knives - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
You don't want to get in their face to kill them. Since you also need good precision and range, I suggest squading with other scouts, as you can use their scans to pick up reds that you wouldn't be able to. Then sneak up on them from behind. Ha...

172. Which mode has the fewest tanks? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
While all game modes are infected with the tank epidemic of 2014, skirmish usually has large enough maps you can run around them. With the exception of some of the older, smaller, open maps.

175. newb here with a bunch of questions - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
You could use a militia heavy with a forge gun at this point. No SP needed. Very cheap. Still harder to be effective, but its enough to scare them off sometimes, or take one down with coordination. Personal favorite is REs.

176. Skill Level Goals for Newbs: Few at 5 or Many at 3 - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I think it also depends on your role. As a scout, I find lvl 5 dampening a must. I don't know that would help other roles as much however.

177. Anyone have any tips on killing - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I would suggest congregating with as many other blue dots as you can. Even if it is not totally coordinated, you will get some WP from assists as well as some kills from the help of blues with weapons that cause more damage than what you can manage.
