And destroying enemy uplinks is pretty high priority. I don't camp them but don't think it is cheap, spawn camping a CRU is in my view. Because uplinks are a tactical choice, it's fair to punish poor choices because good ones are definitely reward...

Make sure you remember that when people spawn they are facing the way you are when you put it down, so put your back against the wall or corner before you lay it down. This is the biggest mistake I see with uplinks.

You have an assault rifle and a sub machine gun, you can skill into those, I wouldn't spend a lot skilling into the AR now though, better to put you SP into armor and shields and weapons upgrades.
