Get a demolition skill where you can de-activate it. Other then that, throw a flux or shoot at it. I shoot them from a safe distance.

Highlight in red the people you've killed after the match. A transluscent red bar across their name. This way you'll tell if you've killed high-ranked people. Also, do people want a mix of arcade shooter and realistic gameplay? Like, more audible...

We need cover to feel like "you are in cover". If it's destructible, allow it to be so with damage to the target. Have rounds that go through some structures depending on damage dealt. A diving tactic can work too,
