I usually do better when I don't run my proto suit. Of course, I'm a Caldari Logibro, so basically I run around with a giant target on my head saying "AIM HERE". Seriously though, I think I draw more Aggro with a capital A than a squad of heavies ...

Perhaps in order to make drop ships offer better functionality, we could give them Deployable equipment. Like a small infantry sized turret, or a wide area, low replenishing ammo/healing hive? Or uplinks with a small total spawn size?
