I have this problem aswell. The way I get around to it, is Join a Battle. wait 10 - 15 seconds, if nothing happens, cancel it, and Join a Battle again. Tends to take about 3 trys of this before it works, but it can get very frustrating.

I am having the same Issue with my Grenades. Sometimes It would work Normally, but if I was shooting, and then went to throw a quick Grenade, I will need to press the Button a few times before the game recognizes what I want to do.
