You can actually make a pretty good Vayu, based on my maths, if you max it. If I got a full respec, I'd probably do that. But right now? That's 4M I can better spend elsewhere.

This is exactly why they aren't worth it, as a general rule. Arguably they could be useful, and I imagine the Falchion could make a good rail sniper, but I'd highly recommend you do the maths before dropping that SP.
