5wp would be fine for when a scanned target is killed you can't really farm that much If you consider an ambushoms has 80clones it's only a maximum of 400 wp per match and that's if every target that you scan is killed I also think there should be a bonus of 2wp for destroying scanned equipment but no bonus for installations or vehicles |

I want the +2 WP assist reward and to use the scanner right before an orbital. While it would really only net me 10-16 WP it would be amazingly gratifying. |

Just 1 WP per target. Then have a cap of say 500. Encourages heavy use wich improves teams performance and unless they clump up en mass you won't cap points out very much. |

I'd be happy with, say, a kind of Kill Assist (after all it is) but maybe lessen it to 10/20 WP Other than that just scanning seems an easy way to farm points without any benefit. But also include assists for helping destroy equipment as they are much harder to find now. |

+5 per target scanned. no point for repeat scans on the same target within 30 seconds. +5 per target killed while being scanned.

Or just +10 per target killed whlle being scanned.
The latter option seems a lot more practical in the sense of being easily implemented and understood in a dynamic environment. The other options are probably better in terms of reward, but it would be more difficult to actually code into the game, and more difficult to keep track of while you're playing.
The "more difficult to keep track of" part isn't really a problem, imo, but CCP seem set on catering to some degree to the typical console FPS crowd, and some of them have issues in that regard. |

I think 5-10 WP for anybody I paint and is killed while painted(or maybe like 2 or 3 seconds after) would be nice.
But honestly, scanning is its own reward. |

With those proposed 1 SP per scan options, we'd only need to scan 2500 people before getting an orbital. It's not like team sizes are only 16 a side or anything silly like that.

not that i remember what it said anymore but a dev came along and confirmed they were doing the exact thing i suggested |

Just putting this out there, at +2 for every red dot killed , even if you scan and have 100 red dots killed (Which is like a whole entire team most games, usually less) you are only going to get 200wp.
Make the reward similar to wp earned from repairing, nanohives, uplinks etc... |

Honestly I don't think there needs to be any WP reward for scanning. The advantages it gives are enough as is - even OP to an extent.
I've ditched my repper/needle to use the scanner and don't miss them at all. The points I made from repping/reviving have just been replaced by kill points from awesome multiple grenade kills, flanking attacks, etc. |

Planetside 2 uses method A for Infiltrator Recon darts (same basic idea as scanners) and it works really well. You get +10 xp per target killed under your dart which is like 3% of the XP of a kill. Not OP but can rack up if you do dedicated darting on the frontlines. |

I would play PS2 myself, but my PC isn't up to handling that. |

Given the large maps it could be anywhere between 3 people and 60 people within a darts range (about 50ish metres at max skill). Planetside's XP system is complex and a kill could be between 50xp and 600xp for someone who is on a massive killstreak. Darts give 10xp per kill and last around 30s from memory. From memory there is also a limit on how rapidly you can earn it so you don't get 30x10 xp when a tank fires into a mass of infantry.
On average popping down a well placed dart in a major fight is usually worth between half a kill and up to 1-2 kills. |

Have it work the same way Resistance 3 did it.
You spot an enemy, if someone kills that enemy while they have been spotted you get assist points. If you kill that person you don't get points.
Shouldn't give you anything for just scanning them. The advantages of using the scanner is good enough. |

I think a +5 for each enemy scanned but you only get it once till they have been killed, that way spamming scans doesn't farm wp. so you could get a total of 80 wp if you scanned all 16 but wouldn't get anymore +5wp until one died, then if you scanned them all again after only one dies you would get +5 for the guy who respawned. |

i was also gonna post this. This is VERY important that vehicles get rewarded for scanners as well, especially since everyone seems to want vehicles to die if they get close to infantry. This by nature would be a dangerous thing for a vehicle as it would require close proximity. WP should be the same for vehicles as infantry,
Also, no complaining about vehicles having their scanner on for long durations, our precision on our mod is nothing like the proto infantry scanners.
Across the board -
1 wp for scanning an enemy entity, which refreshes for more warpoints every minute (scan duration lasts for a while) 1 wp for a scanned equipment destruction 5 wp for a scanned enemy death 5 wp for a scanned enemy LAV destruction 10 wp for a scanned enemy dropship destruction 20 wp for a scanned enemy tank destruction
no wp reward for things being killed/destroyed after a scan has finished its duration |
