People really have to get it out of their heads that something should be powerful because its expensive. Nothing should be balanced around cost. At all. Also keep in mind that any pricing metric goes out the window once this game hits TQ.

dust looks *good* atm, but not great. keep in mind that the client is severely cut down, and jammed pack with a thousand dev tools. expect it to improve in subsequent builds. the last jump (fanfest build to E3 build, graphics improved ten fold)

Apparently most people didn't notice this but... VEHICLES DO have structure. And infantry DO have health. The amounts are so small however, that you don't notice it. Its more prevalent at the beginning of a build when everybody has less skills...

I would like to point to BF 2142 here. Something that I think people should do often, as it was probably one of the best sci-fi shooters ever made. Walkers were balanced perfectly here.
