Plasma Rifle works fine Blaster can be a little repetitive over time. We must consider the names of future weapons as well, such as the Gellente's own sniper rifle. If this is the case the Caldari "Sniper Rifle" should be changed too

Just wait until other weapons come out. Besides, it is a skill point based weapon. So it's going to be powerful and hated. Scrambler Rifle is one potential counter. Just wait for the other. Or...don't walk out in No Man's Land.

Kinetic would be the same ratio as explosives. Again, the submachine guns do kinetic damage. If there is a difference it wouldn't be too far off.
