Lets be honest. In the future, bullet drop shouldn't even be a factor even when we're not talking railguns. I mean why wouldn't our scopes be able to automatically account for the drop and show us where we need to shoot?

Rails do not have bullet drop. If they did, they would not be rails. The sniper rifle is a rail. Bullet drop on the PRECISION RIFLE would make sense.
