Yes it is possible, im currently using a Logitech g500 mouse, it has onboard memory and you can setup macros on it with the use of the logitech software on pc. I have a grenade button on it and also my map button and off a vehicle/infantry/off map...

using a G5 logitch (already been posted) using it wih a blast from the past. Z-Board gaming keyboard (with the switchable keyboard layouts) works perfect even with the different layouts.
