So this topic may or may not have been spammed to high hell throughout this part of the forum but I'd rather throw this question out here so people can respond to me directly.
So basically Im wondering what Skills are good for Logi's, from what I see the Logibro is able to equip a lot of modules and equipment types ( And yes I know all suits can be played in different ways...)
Which Modules are good for Logi's and what skills do they require?
And finally I have specced into Assault Rifles simply because I figure the basic SMG doesnt have the range I need to engage most opponents and also because I discovered the Burst Rifle and its shocking rate of fire coupled with the scope. So any tips on how to best use those skills would be much appreciated. |

Stay alive. This means shield extenders and rechargers on your high powered slots and armour plates and repairers on your low powered slots. Always remember, dead is bad.
I run as a logibro and a pilot, and most of my skill points go into the dropship, but I still manage to do fairly well (800 WP or greater most games) because I play with a squad. You've got to know that the people you play with know you exist and play to accommodate your existence.
Running the type-1 suit gives me three equipment slots, which I find too damn valuable to give up for the type-2. Upgrading circuitry and combat engineering gives me the extra pg/CPU to field advanced equipment. I currently run around with two of the second tier shield extenders, one basic armour plate, one basic armour repairer, the exile assault rifle, flux nades, advanced nanite injector, repair tool and nanohives. My circuitry is at level 3 and with this outfit I have 1 CPU remaining.
Without a squad I die fast. With one I die rarely.
Teamwork is a logibro's best asset. Your play style must be patient, careful and self preservation. this determines success. There is no weaponry/proficiency/complex damage mod instawin here. There is no uber tank logibro. I die when I'm alone because I have only weaponry 2, and a default militia fit with weaponry 3 out damages me. Behind a heavy machine gun totting fattie with weaponry 5, my assault rifle becomes a pretty souvenir; supporting is enough. |

Thanks for that. Im new to the whole modules notion to specc my character and was a bit worried about investing in skills which wont help me than much. Since I run both an Assault Drop Trooper Character and a Logibro my styles differ vastlt from game to game.
In anycase I find that even as a Logisitics suit Im still doing something wrong. Maybe Im being too agressive and engaging targets outside of my effective range or simply that my gear is not yet good enough.
Once again thanks for that, and I also welcome more advice and suggestions. |

Its true I could have done that but by starting this thread I get more personal opinions and suggestions, and can explain exactly how Im currently doing things rather than dragging them into a more rigid and extablished thread.
But sure Im new to this forum and will try to give a decent look before posting some of my more general questions. |

I run a neo logistics A series suit (the aur one till i get 348k for the isk one) 2basic shield extenders and a 10% damage mod, miltia AR, basic armour plate 2x militia armor reppers, a repper tool, a nanite injector and either an uplink or a nanohive, im currently at 1.4mil sp, the suit costs around 14k isk and a small amount of aur till i skill up. Im usually in the top 3 players with or without corp. and spend most of the game staying close to other team members, repping ressing and generally supporting, but i do still pull in around 17 to 20 kills. (And they arnt the stolen kill kind either.) i dont class myself as an amazing player but i can hold my own. Headshots headshots headshots and pick your fights. And keep those other berries alive. And the wp will come rolling in.

I'm more of a Frontline Logi Build and the truth is that your best asset is for you to stay alive and stay aware. Look for packs of people - if you want to be a lone wolf, you're the wrong class. I tend to stick close to the heavy's with the HMG - as they award the most points and can offer you some of the best protection. Stay hidden if you can hide behind elements with your repair tool doing it's thing.
Make sure that the person you're prepping to rez is clear. They won't have much health when they get up. So often times you're going to have to be the one to kill him.
Pick one weapon and master it - you don't really have a choice on this one cause Logi suits only hold one weapon. Being frontline I prefer the AR because its more all purpose than many of the other weapons IMO.
Shield Modules, Armor Modules, Armor Repair Modules are all a big plus. Remember you're no good if you're dead.
Being said a good Logi can often turn the tide of a battle and can often get up there with WP - but you have to do your job. |
