You can easily surpass that rof by just using the trigger. If he's using a modded controller he's doing it wrong and actually lowering the potential rof on the gun. A modded controller could empty the entire clip in ~2 seconds with the guns 12-13b...

It actually does take 5+ to kill properly skilled shield Speced Logi LAV's. Since they can run 5 high slots and have a starting shield of 1500 now they are very annoying if they are fit properly. Standard LAV I'm not so sure about.
