For some reason, I get scanned a lot, so I use the Adv scout in pubs. It doesn't hurt that I can get just over 400 ehp, an advanced main and side arm, and slip droplinkd in there.

The Gallente scout has 40 shield regen, 70 shield. And you won't be putting plates on it. So, I've skilled to proto, only to only use advanced. It is actually more survivable, which is sad, maybe broken.
