I would probably swap out the armor repairers and look into getting shield regulators. A pair of enhanced regulators with the skill at level 5 can cut your shield recharge and depleted delay down to almost half.

AR/SMG combo is a good starter. Be sure to switch to the SMG in close quarters or when you take someone down to armor. ARS only deal 90% of their damage against armor and the SMG has a very forgiving spread at close range.

Assault makes a better anti rush weapon than actually getting kills unless you're in a coordinated squad. But you'll want to be at least 100m away or above your target. I've killed myself with the EC-3 more than any of the others just by misjudgin...

^Exactly! I consider them the shotguns of the HMG class. Still, they seem like more of a novelty than anything to be truly effective with. Seems like when the doom mode was implemented, it screwed up the HMG line.
