Yeah, my Gallente suits get hit pretty hard my all forms of explosives. Even my proto suits(unless I stack shield mods) can't stand up to milita locus.

There is a pretty good guide here somewhere... It basically says the opposite of yours, to treat it like a shotgun and dress for speed. I'm not saying ones better then the other, just pointing out the other playstyle.

I fly dropships, and its not like you can really save them once they hit zero armour (unless your high up and you just popped a repper, then maybe) So yeah, let'em pop once 5 secs after they hit zero.
