I've brought this up a few times. I think with all the suits coming in 1.8, CCP should allow those interested to send a ticket to have a race change. I know all it affects is your forum avatar, your merc select screen avatar and your merc quarters...

Once I have the core upgrades maxed, CR, NK and SMG maxed I'll max MD and get me a commando suit. Then I will run a badass MD/CR wielding Matari Commando. Just the idea of running with that combo in a Minmatar suit with damage proficiency is awesome.

The Min scout role change is one of the most anticipated things of 1.8 for me. I can't wait to have hack and knife bonuses AND stealth to play with now an then. I couldn't care about inferior stats on Min suits, they are gonna be hella fun.

No need to split hairs over semantics. Scout is a general archtype known for being fast, weak, about intel, etc etc. Scanning, deploying uplinks behind enemy lines, hacking ****, I do this already. Scout is fine.
