161. Sniping options - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I wondered if snipers were snarky about anyone using their drop links 'hey, that's for ME so I can get back to sniping easier!". Good to hear atleast one sniper is doing the team a service!

163. The star map - what do you use it for? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I had the impression you could move or something - I guess it shows some active battles on it which you can join. Apart from that, what is it for? What can you use it for?

164. A Heavy's Autobiography (A Guide for Aspiring Heavies) - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Weird, I'm hip fire all the time. Maybe you can soak it with more powerful heavy suits, but starting off you just die if you stand still and aim (never mind that strafing can be used to help with aim). Why not crouch as well, if you're gunna aim? ...

Yeah, a tool tip or tutorial that goes something like this "You start in academy matches - this lets you play against other new players instead of ones who have been on for two years, have millions of SP and are wearing proto suits. Your misery wi...

166. Close To Rage-Quit... Save Me! - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
With a controller you're better off with 'ambush aiming' - you aim where you think the enemy will be and leave your crosshair there. When they cross it, fire! But really the game is an all or nothing design - either you're killing, or getting not...

168. Terribad with a question... - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Starting off I felt gameplay was more enjoyable from behind a heavy machine gun. Mostly guarding objectives, but when the enemy comes one at a time you get a fair bit of practice at hosing them down.

169. How can I improve my aim? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Turn down the sensitivity on your x axis. That'll help you avoid over shooting the target. Try not even using the right stick, just use the left to strafe your cross hairs over the target and fire then. Try using a malitia heavy suit for awhile,...

170. How to steal a Logi Lav or a Lav in general - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I'd assumed height advantage of blasters was what helped kill the driver - I've had some rather neat blaster kills myself. I didn't think it was because of some zany 'don't even need to hit the drive' code/bug.

173. Do they pay for orbital strikes? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
My hazy understanding is that people have to gain X number of warpoints in a match to do an orbital strike. But do they have to pay ISK as well? I've been singularly targeted with one a few times and - given how you have to pay for even a basic ...
